My Favourite Food Essay

China is well-known for its cuisine. Chinese cuisine is considered to be the finest in the world. They claim that they eat only two of the four legs and no aircraft wings in South China, and just one of the two wings in North China.

In Guangzhou, they are proud of having the most Cantonese restaurants in the world. My favorite Chinese food is actually a dish from Sichuan Province, which is located in Southwest China. It is called mapo tofu, or sometimes known as pockmarked old woman tofu.

The dish is made with tofu, ground beef, and a special sauce made with chili peppers, Doubanjiang paste, and soybean paste. The dish is usually very spicy, but you can adjust the level of spice to your liking.

While some westerners may be skeptical of Chinese cuisine, most dishes are actually quite tasty. In China, there is a greater variety of food overall when compared to the west. For example, did you know that there are more than 1,000 different kinds of Chinese dishes? My personal favorites include Beijing Duck, dumplings, and noodles!

The Beijing Duck is a world-famous dish. It is said that if you haven’t eaten the Beijing Duck when you are in Beijing, you haven’t been to Beijing. The duck has crispy skin and its meat is very tender.

Dumplings are also a traditional Chinese food. Dumplings usually have meat or vegetables inside, and they are boiled or steamed. Dumplings are a must-have food during the Chinese New Year.

Noodles are one of the most common foods in China. Noodles can be made from wheat, rice or other grains. They can be served with soup or stir-fried with vegetables.

I love Beijing Ducks, which is one of my favorite foods. Beijing Duck is a Chinese roast duck made with Ganoderma lucidum and Ceriops tagal form, which has a wonderful taste. Since I was a youngster, I’ve loved eating Beijing Ducks. Whenever my parents prepared meals that I didn’t care for, I would buy a Beijing Duck and scarf it down.

Beijing Ducks are not only my favorite food, but also a lot of people’s favorite food in China. Whenever there is a big event, such as weddings and funerals, Beijing Ducks will definitely be served.

The reason why I like Beijing Ducks so much is because it tastes really good. The skin is crispy and the meat is juicy. When you eat it with the pancakes and vegetables, it is just heavenly. I would always beg my parents to buy me Beijing Ducks whenever we had a big event at home.

Even now, when I am living on my own, I still crave for Beijing Ducks. Whenever I am back in Beijing, I would make sure to have at least one meal of Beijing Ducks. It is just something that I cannot resist.

I have eaten Beijing Ducks for so long and with such frequency that my family has taken notice. They even tell a story about me from when I was younger. If I had to guess, I would say I was 9 or 10 years old at the time.

Back then (and still today),I am very picky because there is only one food item I will eat: Beijing Ducks. My mother once tried to trick me by cooking non-Beijing Ducks but placing a Beijing Duck box out in an attempt to show me that all duck tastes the same and that maybe I couldn’t taste the difference after all.

I remember being so upset and crying because I knew that it didn’t taste the same. From that day forward, my family stopped trying to get me to eat anything else and just let me eat what I wanted.

I love Beijing Ducks because of how they are cooked. They are roasted in an oven with a special type of wood. The skin is then removed and eaten with scallions, cucumbers, and a sweet sauce. The meat is so tender and juicy that it just melts in your mouth. I have never had any other food that tastes like Beijing Ducks and I doubt that I ever will.

I was skeptical, since I had never heard of Beijing Ducks and couldn’t find any information about them on the internet. My mother advised me to have a taste of it first before saying anything; however, I spit out the very first bite that I took and declared “This is not Beijing Ducks!”

The second meal that I adore is dumplings. During Spring Festival and other festivals, jiaozi , which has meat and vegetable fillings, is very popular among Chinese people. Dumplings were originally only one thing to eat on New Year’s Day.

But now, dumplings are available all year round in supermarkets and restaurants. Moreover, the fillings of dumplings have become more creative, such as shrimp, cheese, chocolate, etc. No matter what the filling is, I love eating dumplings!

Another one of my favorite foods is rice. As we all know, China is a country with a large population and land area. The climate here is diverse, so different places grow different crops. Rice is grown in most parts of China and is a staple food for Chinese people. It not only can be eaten plain, but also can be cooked in many different ways, such as fried rice, steamed rice, sticky rice, etc.

Beijing Ducks are a specialty dish in China and are usually only found in restaurants that specialize in them. If you ever have the chance to try Beijing Ducks, I highly recommend it! You will not be disappointed.
