It’s time for another book tag! I saw this on Delighted Reader, but it was originally posted by Rantings of a Reading Addict.
I think it’s pretty self-explanatory. I’m only going to use books I’ve read & liked, except when that obviously isn’t the case. Most link to my reviews
Find A Book For Each of Your Initials
Cam Girl by Leah Raeder
Dark Matter by Blake Couch

Count Your Age on the Shelf.
Which book is it?
Discount Armageddon by Sean McGuire
It’s the *mumbles*th book on my Kindle.
Pick a Book Set In Your City
Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios
Alex, Approximately by Jean Bennett – other one
Things We Know by Heart by Jessi Kirby
These aren’t set specifically in my city, but all California settings. Bad Romance is set in the area I live, and the other two are set in areas I frequently visit.
Pick a Book That Represents a Destination Youβd Love to Travel To
Where to begin …
Love, in English by Karina Halle – Spain
Racing the Sun by Karina Halle – Capri (Italy)
Where Sea Meets Sky by Karina Halle – New Zealand
You get the idea.
Pick a Book Thatβs Your Favorite Color
Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas
This is the closest I could get to black & pink (various shades).
Which Book Do You Have the Fondest Memories Of?
The Saddle Club series by Bonnie Bryant
The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
The 1st is from my childhood. Several of the girls where I took riding lessons would all trade books and talk about them once a week after the lesson. Horses, books, and good friends = good times. I’m not explaining why the 2nd book does. It just does. π
Which Book Did You Find the Most Difficult Reading?
The Other Life by Susanna Winnacker
It was difficult because I HATED it. The only thing that saved it from getting stabbed was the fact it was an eBook.
Which Book on Your TBR Pile Will Give You The Biggest Sense of Accomplishment?
The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. by Neal Stephenson – 768 pgs.
I absolutely love his other book (Seveneves), which is longer that this one. I can’t wait to finally dive into it.
The End.
I didn’t realize D.O.D.O was so long! I really want to read that one though. I also want to read Punk 57 – love the colors on that cover.
Ohh great tag! So fun. I want to do this tag one day. I have the ebook of Punk 57 but haven’t read it yet. I’ve heard great things about it. Will give it a try someday. Yay for Love in English. Loved that book. Will check out the rest books you mentioned. ?β€οΈ
This looks like fun! I would have trouble finding a book set in the exact city where I live, but could probably do what you did–and do a more general state-wide field. Just using L.A. would probably work. And there are lots of books set there. π The Time Traveler’s Wife is a good one.
Oh fun! Glad you got to do this tag, Christy. I enjoyed seeing your answers.
And hey, I just got Alex, Approximately on audio and look forward to that. Punk 57 is still on my list to read.
Dang your long one is huginormous. LOL
Ooh fun! But what was that? I didn’t catch what number book on your kindle that was π It’s always fun reading books about places you’re familiar with! And Spain, Italy, and New Zealand do sound like great places to visit. I’ve always wanted to go to Italy. Funny that Time Traveler’s Wife is your good memory book because I feel like I was scarred by that book. Like, it just affected me so much emotionally that I had nightmares and everything. But then, I read it during a bad time in my life, so maybe that has to do with it lol.
Wasn’t I clear? It’s the *mumbles*th book! Sheesh. π Oh, The Time Traveler’s Wife made me SOB. It hit me hard. But it was at a good time and has good connections for me. It’s also the 1st book throughout my life that I could confidently say was my favorite book. Still is.
It’s always a lot of fun to read!
This is fun and how did I not know about The Rise and Fall of D.O.D.O. I enjoyed his other book too. Dang you added a monster size book to my pile..lol
This is a fun one! All the books in your cute are ones on my TBR. Clearly I need to read those Karina Halle books because I love good foreign settings.
I love that you were in a book club of sorts as a kid Christy, that is too cute and so fun. π Love all of your choices, especially the Halle books, she really does have some great settings for books.
Oooh, this look like fun! π
What great tag you have here!! I really want to do it π You have some good books listed here. I do love penelope douglas though. She is great.
Ahhh, The Time Traveler’s Wife. It breaks my heart every time I read it.
Fun tag! I love love love The Time Traveler’s Wife. I read and book and listened to the audio prior to blogging but am thinking it may be time for a re-read sometime soon.
I like this tag. I want to read Leah Raeder’s books someday. I have trouble finding many books set on Vancouver Island BC, in Canada. Italy and New Zealand sound like nice places to visit.
Oh what a fun tag and those look like great books.
Oh checking out Neal Stephenson’s books! Looks like such a fun tag! It’s funny that I think many a book saved itself from me throwing it across the room b/c it was an ebook. LOL
Wow. This is a fun book tag Christy. I can’t wait to do mine soon too π
Wow, DODO is long! I might try an audio of that instead. I have to say, I love Discount Armageddon and how you landed on it!
Hey dude! Fun tag… ooh I read some of these. Dark Matter of course is the bomb, and Discount Armageddon wasn’t bad either. Nice to read books set in a familiar area. I always like that.
A book set in Capri, that’d be kinda cool.
Oh fun! Love these tags…tempted to do it myself!
Ooh, this looks like something fun to do on the blog so I think I’m going to steal it from you and do it on my blog…sometime soon. I loved reading through your answers.
Did I know that you live in California? Are you in L.A. County? Are you close to me? Look at me, so demanding! Haha.
lol – No, I’m up in agriculture CA where the cows out number the people. π
I love the Age question and you picked Discount Armageddon. I need a discount too!
Enjoy the long weekend π
*shakes head* What the hell?? ?
This is so fun!!! But I am entirely too lazy to do it myself.
this was fun! hahaha I especially loved the irresistible desire to stab that book!! what was so bad about it???
Ahhhh… the Saddle Club! That book is in my daughters room now!
Great choices girl!
How fun! I think I shall do this tag. I remember The Saddle Club! π
