The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Hey-Diddly-Ho there readers and fellow bloggers! March is gone and April is here. The birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and the animals are humping. Spring is in the air! The weather has been so nice that I’ve had the windows open. Except for a couple days ago when the wind was so crazy that it uprooted huge trees and knocked the power out for a few hours.
The last time I did a Sunday Post was two weeks ago. I thought I’d post more than I have since then, but you know how it goes. I’ve had some great reading though! Everything else has pretty much been the same as usual. I did go to a Vince Gill concert. The first concert I ever went to was Vince Gill 13 years ago at the county fair. This time he played in a cool older theater not far from here, so it was really nice & much more intimate.
Then my grandpa’s wife brought 15 boxes full of stuff that belonged to my grandpa and grandma that he had kept. There’s china sets, silver tea sets, tons of pictures, etc. So I need to set time aside to go through it all. There’s still bigger items like furniture and a piano to bring over. I’ve been doing some spring cleaning to prepare. And for those of you that saw my post on FB about the lavender moth balls … I couldn’t take it anymore. lol! I bought cedar balls. That sounds dirty.

The 1st two episodes of Confess dropped early on go90.com! The rest will be released Tuesday, I believe. It’s pretty good. The acting is a little rough at times, especially with the guy who plays Owen, but still totally worth watching.
So the IT trailer dropped. I don’t want to judge too much just from the trailer, but I have a feeling I’ll like the original movie better.
Have a great week!
Hello, my dear friend. How are you? I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend. So, you’re quite busy. My Mom wanted to give us some of my grandparents furniture last year (both of my grandparents from my mother passed away two years ago and their furnitures are in my parents house). But since I haven’t done anything to make space, I postponed. I need a big vehicle to take all those things. I have no idea where to put them, though. I’m too lazy to do some cleaning. Maybe this month. Maybe. Hehe π
Anyway, glad that you had great books read. Can’t wait to read what you think about The Night Mark. It’s on my TBR list.
I’m still in Bishop’s world along with all the Terra Indigene. Meg and Simon said hi to you. They missed you. π
Yeah, I’m not sure where I’m going to put some of the stuff because they’re huge pieces. We’ll see. The Night Mark was really good! Ahh, I miss Meg & Simon too. π
You dirty thing! π
Vince Gill would be a nice show. I like seeing concerts these days in the smaller venues. I’m thinking of trying Reasons Why on Netflix too, it popped up on my screen and I was like, what’s that? Sounds familiar lol.
I’m seeing Alex, Approximately a lot. Hope it was good.
That I am. lol.
Yeah, and there has been a lot of goo artist playing smaller venues around here too. It’s nice. You’ll have to watch 13 Reasons Why. It’ good so far.
Omg, Alex is so freaking good!
I want to watch that It trailer so bad…but I have this fear of clowns that I really can’t shake and part of it is due to glimpsing the original IT movie when I was a kid. I’m pretty sure I’ll have nightmares for a week if I look at it, but damn do I want to, lol. I’m thinking about watching 13 Reasons. I read the book a long time ago, but I’ve forgotten a lot of it.
I hope you have a good week!
Clowns creeped me out for a while when I was younger because of IT and Poltergeist. I hated that damn clown doll. lol
Glad the concert was good. Sorting through things is always hard. Take your time and err enjoy your cedar balls. I am excited about IT. I have read the book several times and enjoyed the tv movie.
I have not watched the new IT trailer, I remember watching it when I was way too young and it scared me
I went to a concert yesterday, too, at a quite small venue, and it was so much fun! Even if I danced my little feet off…
Old china always looks so fragile, but it really isn’t – it has been around for very long, right? So that means not fragile?
I really enjoyed the Confess show, because it gave me all the same feels as reading the book gave me. And while I think you’re right about Owen’s acting, the grandma was great – I already hate her with a vengeance!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading π
We’ve gotten the strong winds too, but otherwise the weather has been nice. Luckily, no damage near us. I am glad you had a good couple weeks in reading! How neat that you got to go to the concert!
Your new books look good, especially Jonathan Maberry’s. I’ve heard good things about his writing, but haven’t yet sampled his work.
I have never seen IT and am not sure I will see the old or new movie. Not really my kind of movie, to be honest–or book for that matter. I enjoy some of King, but not all of his work. We’ll see though. Never say never. π
I hope you have a great week, Christy!
Oh yes I have Feel me too but I need to read Crave me before. happy reading!
Sounds like you had a great week. So glad that you found the cedar balls. I think you’ll like them. The smell isn’t strong and I really like the smell. I’m really interested in IT. I saw the first movie when it first aired. I thought it was really good, especially for a made for TV movie. I think this one will be darker, since it will be in the theaters (though I haven’t seen a rating yet). I listened to the book last year and loved it. Have a great week.
I haven’t been to a concert in a long time, sounds like it was fun. The original IT will always be better because TIM CURRY as IT…lol. I don’t like how this one is just with the kids as far as I can tell. It was always about bringing the kids who were there back as adults and them having to go through it all again unless they just don’t show that part on the trailer, but somehow I doubt it. I will probably still watch it…lol.
Have a great week!

Animals are humping lol!! I am waiting for our good weather. Soon hopefully. I tried to watch confess but it wasn’t hooking me and came off cheesy but I am sure I will get back to it. 13 Reasons Why is my next show. Hope you have a great week!
Woah that wind sounds intense! Hopefully, you didn’t have any damage on your property?
I am ready for some nice weather over here, but it’s still a little chilly occasionally. I want to be wearing my short sleeves and my flip flops and but Philly weather isn’t having it.
I started watching Confess, but I couldn’t take it seriously. The acting feels forced and I kept laughing at inappropriate times. Oops.
ALSO that fucking IT trailer. It’s everywhere and it’s haunting me. Like whyyyyy do people enjoy creepy movies like that?! Haha!
Anyways, I hope you have a fabulous week ahead!
I’m excited about the Confess show! I haven’t read the book yet though, so I’m going to wait to watch the show until I’ve read the book.
I am a bit hesitant about Confess. I was worried that the acting wouldn’t be great and that is really distracting to me. Have a great week!
Yes… always a problem when you have to absorb family possessions. I’d agree with the cedar balls – it is a lovely smell and far nicer than any moth balls:). Old china is lovely to have – I’ve got several pieces bought by my great-grandmothers which is now over a hundred years old, as well as samplers and embroidery they both did. Have a great week – hope you get plenty of Spring sunshine.
I loved the original IT movie but this one looks good too. We have had some really nice days here too except for one day last week where the winds picked up and we had 70mph gusts and my power went out for 5 hours.
I would love to see Vince Gill in concert. His voice is so lovely, and an overall wonderful person. When my grandmother passed, it was atrocious cleaning out the house. She was a pack rat. I think there are still things that had never been gone through. I hope you get the time to go through everything, especially those photos. That is something I enjoy doing, looking back through old photos. I try to make a game of identifying people from their much younger years. Sometimes I’m right, and sometimes not. It’s fun all the same to hear the stories.
Neat about the concert especially the old theater setting. That’s also nice that you have all the old family things you can go through and keep some.
I got Feel Me, too. Can’t wait to read that one.
Enjoy your week, Christy!
My grandma gave away most of the inheritance while she was still alive, so much less stuff to sort through now. It is nice to have something to remember your grandpa by. China is nice. So you got to a concert, great! I hope you enjoy your new books! Have a good week, Christy!
*giggles* You bought balls! π
Okay, all kidding aside, glad you are doing well and how fun to have all those wonderful things from your grandparents, stuff you can definitely pass down to your son one day. π
Hope going through the things your grandparents gave you is fun and not too much of a chore—those types of things can always go either way. π
Glad you had fun at Vince Gill. I’ve never seen him live but I DID see Garth Brooks back in January and it was an amazing show. π
I read Thirteen Reasons Why back when it came out and loved it, so I need to make time for the new show!

Iβm so excited for IT! I just finished reading the book. The book took me forever to get through, but I got it done before the trailer came out.
Concerts are a lot of fun! I bet Vince Gill in a small setting would be amamzing. I am so ready for spring but I have a hard time believing it is already April. It is nice that you will have a few items to really remember your grandparents with. Enjoy all of your new books!
I don’t follow on FB, and now I am very curious to know what this lavender moth ball post was lol. But that’s nice that you have a bunch of your grandpa’s stuff now π And the concert sounds great! The best ones are the smaller, more intimate ones. But yikes, the tree power outage thing sounds crazy! And I have no intention of seeing It as I am not a scary movie person!
Going through family possessions is a challenging task. It’s hard to separate sentimentality from practicality when it comes to what to keep and what to do with it all. I’m very pro cedar balls but yeah that does sound dirty! The Vince Gill concert sounds fun! Ugh on the wind. We’re still in tornado season here so I always get a little worried about weather changes like that. Hopefully the damage wasn’t too bad. Have a great week!
I haven’t read either of the books but the Mr saw 13 Reasons Why saved on Netflix last night and played it. So, I’ve seen the first episode. LoL Not sure if I’ll hold off on the others and read the book or just continue with the show. I do own Confess but haven’t read it yet. I think I’ll hold off on that show until I’ve read the book.
Cedar balls…bwahahaha! Sounds like you had a pretty good week overall, Christy! I’m trying to figure out if I can watch the first two episodes of Confess now that they’ve already aired. 13 Reasons Why is an excellent book. I kinda feel like it should be required reading for teens. π Have a great week!!
Yeah, I enjoyed the first two eps of Confess, but the acting is a tad…amateur? Maybe that isn’t the correct word. But I still enjoyed it. I hope to watch eps two of 13 reasons why tonight, and I have not yet read the book. I told my sister in law about the two shows since she is on spring break this week and she told me today that she has like two episodes left to watch and that’s how she spent her first day off from work! Love it!
That darn scary clown, I watched the IT trailer and was excited, it’s been forever since I seen the original movie. I have 13 Reasons Why and I would like to read it before I watch the Netflix show, so many books so little time. Have a great week.
“The birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and the animals are humping.” Isn’t that truly what spring is all about? Lmao. I’m glad this month is off to a good start for you! We’ve had some pretty huge wind and storms here lately, too; my meteorology nerd heart has been quite happy. Aw, I’m so glad you got to see Vince Gill again! That’s so sweet that he was your first concert. I had one not too long ago myself for my favorite band (twenty one pilots). I’m glad the reading has been going good for you lately, as well! You’ve got some really great titles up there — I can’t wait to get to The Burning World. I’m also super excited to start Thirteen Reasons Why; I adored the book but haven’t gotten around to the Netflix series just yet. And IT!! I’m not sure if I ever saw the original; I need to remedy that. The new trailer does look awesome, though. Hope the rest of your week goes well! Thanks for the awesome post! π

The cover to Ghost Road Blues is fabulous. I watched the new It trailer last week and at first I was thinking that Pennywise might be female, but then I read that the actor was a man. Ha ha. I hope you had a wonderful week. π
Yeah I was wondering what you have been up to since it has been a while you posted a Sunday update. I bet lots of memories will come up when you go through all that stuff π
