The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Hello. How are you?
I am fine. Thank you for asking.
….
I need a sugar boost, because I’m zzZzzZz & it’s making me loopy.
Anyway.
I haven’t read or blogged much since the last SP a couple weeks ago. I’ve accepted that I’m a sporadic blogger now. What a difference from when I first started. I go through phases of wanting to stop, but I just can’t quit you!

Deals, baby, deals! Had to grab these from my wishlist when they had price drops. I download some freebies, too, but don’t feel like adding them.
Watching
When We Rise airs on ABC this Monday, and I’m really looking forward to watching it. It’s partially based on Cleve Jones’ memoir, which Joy reviewed not too long ago.
Have a great week!
Nah, don’t quit! Sporadic is good. 🙂 It goes in stages I think- after all who wants to do it ALL the time lol?
Ooh The Blackbird Season- is that a thriller?
I remember when I couldn’t stand to have an empty day of posting. I don’t eve know how I did it back then. Yep, it’s a thriller/suspense.
Hope you had a great week, Christy. Please, don’t quit. For me, your new reader… haha.. I love your blog!
My Life Next Door and Emmy & Oliver sound good. Good deals.. my weakness. 😀
Oh, okay, I’ll stick around just for you. 😀
You really haven’t been blogging much 🙁 You’re not allowed to leave us! Never! Sporadic is better than nothing. So get your sugar and get your blogging butt in gear 😉
I, for one, am very happy you can’t really get yourself to quit us, Christy! I would be so, so sad without you! And blogging sporadically works, no?
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
You must do what it is best for you, even if it is sporadic blogging
I know exactly what you mean. I started getting sporadic, then before you know it was 6 months without a post. But now I’ve done 2 this year and I have one coming up this week so it feels like an accomplishment lol. Cheers to not giving up completely lol
You are an inspiration, Liz. Truly.
You have such a delightful blog theme! 🙂
I should do a blog recap post as well. Guess I missed mine for February 🙂 the last one I did on January was quite huge 😀 so I’ve been slow at gathering my wits together to do another one 🙂
Thanks, Evelina. 🙂
Sporadic blogging is okay! I know lots of bloggers that go through phases like that! Who knows, maybe in the future you will get back into it more!
Yeah don’t quit just be sporadic 🙂 I love the two you got on sale. SO good!! Have a great week!
Sporadic blogger?? What’s that? 🙂 Your blog, your “thing”!!! All “you” 🙂 You better not go anywhere!
BTW, I keep meaning to ask… how do you do your sale widget on your sidebar? Do you look up every sale book and put a picture in there? Or is there a magic widget out there you found 😀
Have a fabulous week!!!!
Haha – of course you wouldn’t know anything about being sporadic. 😛
You mean the ‘must-read deals’? I just get the individual linked images from Amazon and put them in a plain text widget.
You blog how you want! Honestly, I bet it’s a lot more stress-free than having a set posting schedule. And eep! MLND & Emmy & Oliver are two of my favoritest (I know not a word) books of all time. Have a fabulous week!
and I had to go request the Blackbird book. It sounds perfect for fall! I am glad you are blogging when it makes you happy…because yeah you complete me. Most if the peeps we did Wicked Read-a-thons with are gone.
I requested The Blackbird Season just the other day, fingers crossed I get it but if not oh well I got enough to review…lol. 🙂
Hope you have a great week!

Isn’t funny how we older bloggers have realized posting every day really doesn’t matter so much in the grand scheme of things? I wish I would have figured that out earlier, I might not feel so burnt out now. 🙁
So true. But man, I gotta give props to bloggers like Kim do keep it up after all these years.
Aww can’t say I don’t miss you, but I’ve been burned out before so I get the feeling. It just makes it that much more exciting when you post <3 I really do hope you don't decide to quit.
I’m glad you don’t want to quit us, Christy! 😉 But I understand. Sometimes I want to quit too. But I just can’t. *sigh*
Well, I hope you enjoy your “deals” – I really want to read My Life Next Door, so I hope you love it! Have a great week!!
I’ve heard good things about Kate Morretti and want to read her previous book (I’m thinking that’s The Vanishing Year? I could be getting my thrillers confused though). Sporadic blogging is fine! Much better than quitting! Have a great week!
I get a sort of spring fever and don’t want to do up my reviews or be on-line much so I get what you’re say. It comes and goes.
Oh yes, the deals caught me a little last weekend and I bought a whole series. LOL
Have a great week, Christy!
My blogging & reading has been on the decline for awhile, but I definitely have phases where I’m more into it or not.
You too, Sophia!
You also must watch MILK if you’re interested in reading When We Rise.. It stars Sean Penn as Harvey Milk who is Cleve Jones’ mentor. It was nom’d for awards but I don’t know if the movie itself won.
Thanks for the shout out!
I watched MILK years ago when it was first released, but don’t remember a lot of it. I know the gist of Harvey’s story, though.
Please don’t quite! There is nothing wrong with sporadic blogging and it is probably less stressful. So, have some sugar, enjoy your books and blog when you feel like it. I would miss you if you stopped forever.
😀 Thanks, Nathan. I don’t think I could quit altogether.
Blogging should be fun so I would say to just do what you feel like doing. I take time when I realize I need it. Enjoy your new books!
I’ve been sporadic in getting my *ish together lately. (Thanks, work and work stress.) I have to sit down and write an entire month of posts…which is getting old. I think I’ll be MIA in the next couple weeks, too. Blog as you please, and please keep blogging – sporadic and all. 🙂
I read Joy’s book review, and I kept wondering if the TV show was somehow based on that – with the same title. Now I know!
I hope you keep blogging. Just do you! No pressure. 🙂

Hey, sporadic blogging works. I just don’t want you to go away completely. I would die a little inside. Then I would each chocolate and be okay again. 😀
eat* oops.
sometimes we have phases like that. I hope you’ll enjoy your new books! happy reading!
Sporadic blogging is totally Good 🙂 I’d miss your reviews otherwise!
6am here and I’m thinking ice cream for breakfast so I can get a little sugar. lol
Sporadic blogging is better than nothing. I don’t want you to quit, I would miss you too much. I think many of us seasoned bloggers are struggling, it is hard, but I still love the community and the perks.
I’ll be reading your blog whenever you get around to blogging. The beauty of having your own blog is that you can blog as much or as little as you want and it’s okay! I hope you’re having a great week and that you get to read all of the books.
I really enjoyed both of the books you bought. My Life Next Door and Emmy & Oliver were such great reads! Happy reading!
I go through those phases too. But I’ve held on to my blog for many years. I always seem to come back to it.
You and me both! I’m lucky I have a guest blogger otherwise it’ll be weeks before I post something new. That said, I’m enjoying blogging now, more than I have in years! So sporadic it may be but it’s fun again. So be it
Totally understand. I can’t quite quit yet either and still have some reviews coming up, but with everything going on politically and personally it has made my blogging sporadic as well. So glad you will still be around!!
I feel like I’m on the way to becoming a sporadic blogger…I keep trying to get posts up but it seems like more work lately for some reason. Just don’t quit on us! 😛
I hope you have a great week!
I now how what you mean. I’m more of a maniac seasonal blogger. I blog, blog blog in winter and summer and can’t blog too much in spring and fall. I hope you don’t quit though! . I love your blog 🙂
My posts have been very sporadic too. I’ve been sick and just haven’t done much this week. And with some of the other crap going on in the world, it is just hard. We do what we can and just keep going. I hope you have a great week. I’ll visit you when you do post. 🙂
I loved Emmy & Oliver!!
I may be a weekly sporadic blogger because lately I’m only posting once a week. I try to write reviews but get stuck :/
