Sunday Post #169 (4/3/16) – Time to Meet Lucille

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Well, March is gone, and it was a decent one. I’ve been taking advantage of all the warm weather and spending as much time as possible outside. It’s in the 80’s now and I love it! It’s definitely boosting my energy and mood. Don’t expect me to be too nice, though. πŸ˜›

March was also my best reading month so far. I read twelve books and listened to one audiobook. One was a reread of The Twelve by Justin Cronin, and omg I’m dying to get City of Mirrors! C’mon already!

On the Blog

Books Read

  • The Raft by Fred Staydom
  • Moon Called by Patricia Briggs – audio
  • Return of the Bad Boy by Jessica Lemmon
  • Down with the Shine by Kate Karyus Quinn

Books Acquired

For Review:

Looks like it might be creepy.

thinking of ending things

Books on my wishlist that had price drops.

The season finale of The Walking Dead is tonight, and we finally get to see Jeffrey Freaking Sexy-Ass Morgan as Negan. You have no idea what him playing this character is going to do to me. *swoon*

Hamilton + Batman = lol

Have a great week!

I’m so excited, but super anxious. I’ll need wine. lol. Moon Called was really good. Hope you like it.

  2. Glad you’re enjoying the warm weather, Christy! We’re forecast for 50’s this week…warm compared to last week. πŸ™‚ Congrats on such a great reading month! I hope the trend continues for you as it looks like you picked up some great reads! Happy Sunday!

  3. Ok I’ll have ZERO expectations about your niceness ?
Glad to hear you are having a great reading month. Now of course I have to check out what the heck is City of Mirrors!
    I’ll be right back
I’m back! OHHHH The Passage #3??? book 1 was a DNF for me which in my case means absolutely NOTHING because I’m a professional DNFer now
I have to admit the book was AWESOME but too long for my *look a butterfly* attention spam πŸ™‚
I DO hope you get it soon though

    • Christy

The Passage definitely took some pushing for the awhile the first time I read it, but holy crap, the pay off is so worth it! You should give it another try, especially since the final book will FINALLY be out soon.

  4. You did well in March, Christy, and I’m a little jealous of that warm weather you have now. It’s definitely warming up here as well, but we’re nowhere near 80s.
Your new books look fantastic πŸ™‚
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  5. It sounds like March was a good month. I’m glad it’s warming up there for you. I’m still waiting for the cool weather here in Australia, as Autumn is upon us… but it’s still way too hot!

    Have a lovely week!

If the weather here in DC could just pick a season, I’d be a much happier person. It was in the 80s last week. We had snow overnight. No wonder I’m sick. *sigh* I have a love-hate relationship with spring, if you can’t tell. I still need to read Katie McGarry’s MC series. One of these days I’ll binge it… I hope you’ll enjoy Tessa Dare’s book. I really liked that series!

  8. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a coup for Walking Dead! You know everybody who remembers that other show is going to freak tonight!!! Crap, he’s hot πŸ™‚

The King, huh… checking out right about… now….

Batlalexander… they sure sound purdy but I can’t follow what the heck they’re singing. I’m such a slow git… o.O tee, hee!!! Enjoy the sunshine!!

    • Christy

JDM is so hot and perfect for the role.

Liz has been telling me to read King for awhile now.

    • Christy

OMFG, JOY! You’re killing me! CoM is the only book that I am full on itching to read and would do bad things for. lol.

  9. Wow.. β€˜I’m Thinking of Ending Things’ definitely looks scary.. I’m really curious what you will think of it!!
We also had one great sunny day here today.. This better weather is definitely making me wish summer was here already.
Have a great week and Happy Reading πŸ˜‰

  10. The weather here is bouncing back and forth. There’s no telling day to day anything except that the weathermen/women are liars. Later today we are going to the Riverwalk, which is so pretty and requires a lot of walking outdoors. It’s a tad bit of a cooler day here for that. Happy reading!

  11. I’m so glad you enjoyed the Sabrina Jeffries! She’s one of my favorites and I’ve been wanting to read this one but stuff keeps getting in the way. The Tessa Dare is on my wishlist too. I got the audio from the library but the narrator just didn’t work for me so I gave up. I think I’d do better with it in print. We’ve had warmer weather here too (though not quite as warm as you) and I’m loving it! Too much cold makes me grumpy. Have a great week!
