Sunday Post #162 (2/14/16) – A Dead Valentine

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Happy Valentine’s Day. Or whatever.

The weather has been so nice! Record temps in the high 70’s and sunny. It makes me a happy girl. β™₯

Unfortunately, it’s still slow going in the reading department. I have stuff to catch up on from when I was so sick, so reading and blogging is lower priority right now. On top of that, I don’t feel like reading any of the ARCs I have for February, so they keep getting pushed aside. I don’t even feel guilty about it.

On the Blog

  • The Mistake by Elle Kennedy (review) – It almost killed me. In a good way.

Books Read

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Books Acquired

For Review:

I’ve been demanding hoping for Asher and Gloria’s story since I met them in the first book, so I’m extremely happy for this.

return of the bad boy

All were/are $0.99 price drops.

What’s On

Dude, I just found out 11.22.63 by Stephen King will be an 8 part series on Hulu and starts Monday! I’m pissed I haven’t read the book yet even though I have it. I can’t decide if I want to read it or skip it and watch the show. Oh, the dilemma!

Ahh! The Walking Dead is back! Now that’s a great V-day gift.

Have a great week!

  1. I haven’t felt like reading any of the ARCs I have as well, but same, I don’t really feel any guilt because I’ve been reading some awesome books instead (The Others series!!).
I really hope you love Hello? It’s one of my favorite reads of last year.
    Happy reading! πŸ™‚

  2. You know I have you to blame for my TWD addiction right? I even watched Fear the Walking Dead. Dang you.

I have been in a read reading mood too. I have read all great books so it isn’t a slump more than I just don’t feel the desire to read and it’s weirding me out a bit. I’ve never felt this way. Also, my whole family got sick this week and now I have it. It sucks. πŸ™ I’ve been so healthy this winter too. *shakes fist*

    Hi Christy πŸ™‚
I’m glad you’re getting lovely weather where you are. The weather here had turned from bearable to FREEZING! We’re expecting snow again lol. Thankfully I managed to get some gardening done while the weather was settled.
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been sick πŸ™ I hope you’re back to 100% now. I hate having to catch up on things, it’s the worst isn’t it?
    Hope your week gets better,
    Amy x

  5. Oh I loved Dirty English!! It was one of my favorites of 2015! And I just read your review of The Mistake and thanks for the warning-I have the flu and my abs are so sore from the coughing so I will NOT be reading that until I am well again.

  6. I’m in a slump, too. I think it’s now just a life slump. I don’t have time for anything. I barely squeeze in dinner or a shower at night. Thank God next year they are making Yearbook a class!

  7. I just 1-clicked Corrupt! I had read Hello? around October I think and really loved it! Then I saw the sale so I bought the ebook and then found the paperback on sale for $6.44 so of course I bought it as well. No shame at all haha
I so want to read Me Before You! Did you like it?
