Sunday Post #160 (1/31/16) – Just Call Me Sickly

Posted January 30, 2016 | 33 Comments

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I got sick again this week and was pretty much out of it for a couple days. So annoying. But I’m already feeling better though, mostly just a lingering cough. I better not get sick again for a very long time after this or I’m going to be super pissed.

I did give in and start watching the third season of The 100. It’s not like I’m enthusiastic about it. It’s just one of those shows I can’t let go of. Yet. I also watched the first couple episodes of You, Me and the Apocalypse. So far it’s pretty good. I’m curious to see how it ends since it’s only a one season show.

That’s about it. Exciting, right?

  1. I watched the premiere of The 100 and thought it was okay, nothing great. Although Violent Femmes. That was kind of a weird scene but I kinda liked it too. Hard to say if it’s going to be a good seasons or not.

    Hope you feel better…

Oooh, I think You,Me, and the apocalypse was something I wanted to watch. Darnit.

Even when you’re sick you still blog. You are amazing. I wish I could be more like you.

  3. “The World Ender” – VERY Cali sounding song; it was the very first thing I thought. The second, not at all like the other song I love by him, “Lonesome Dreams”, but I can totally hear the similarities. I love his voice… thanks for reminding me of him. He’s going back into a playlist πŸ™‚ BTW – how do you find your songs, XM? We dumped ours b/c it went up to $200 a year. Detroit radio mostly sucks.

And I agree with Liz – you ROCK b/c you can blog when you’re sick!!! I can’t look at my computer when I’m sick. I tried doing a post yesterday with my migraine and I couldn’t do it. Hubs made me stop πŸ˜€

Hope you’re feeling 100% real SOON!!!

It does, huh? It reminded me a lot of Calexico too. Um, I use find music a few different ways … Amazon Prime, Spotify, friends, etc. Just depends where I am or what I’m doing.

I usually don’t feel like blogging (ven when I’m not sick), so I put the Sunday Posts together a little at a time when I have energy. It’s slow going. But I have a bunch saved through March, so I just need to add the details as I go.

  4. I am glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better, let’s hope you don’t get sick for a while after this. I haven’t watched any of those shows you mentioned. My boyfriend and I are currently watching Star Trek Deep Space 9.
I hope you’ll enjoy Ricochet, I read that author her other series and really enjoyed it, but I don’t think this books is for me. Have a great week!

  5. I know exactly what you mean about The 100. Each time I start a season (I watch them on DVD later) I think that will be the last season as I’m not enjoying it… then a few episodes in I’m hooked again. I don’t love it, but I just keep going!

Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell again… hope that’s the last of it!

  7. It seems like your immune system has taken a kick to the crotch. You need to get well. I went through a winter like that last year where we would get over a bug and then someone else would sick. It sucked. So far, I have done really well this year, only been sick one time and it was just for two days. Yeah for the Fireman, we will have to buddy read it.

  8. How were To the Stars and Perfect Days?!!
January was uneventful for me too. Let’s hope February has exciting things πŸ™‚
Everyone is getting sick! I got sick around 2 weeks ago and this weekend I was at the hospital. It’s the year to be sick apparently :/ I hope you’re feeling better <3
