Ahh, break time is over. I posted last week, but still wasn’t around much. I entered the new year super sick, but I wasn’t letting that hold me back from a trip to SoCal. It was raining like crazy, but it was still a lot of fun. It was like we had Disneyland and Universal Studios to ourselves. I’m kind of paying for it now though, because the sickness is going strong. So worth it.
The rest of this post consists of three weeks of stuff.

Heads up!
What I’m Listening To
Have a great week!
Sorry you’re sick 🙁 but having Disney and Universal pretty much to yourselves sounds wonderful! Now rest, read, and get better.
Thanks Bea!
Glad you had fun..now pajamas, movies and books today and some tea. Rest, rest, rest! Loving your haul!
Yes, ma’am!
And I Darken sounds so good but I hesitate to request it because I disliked everything the author has written in the past! I’m excited for Walk the Edge and Ruined though! Both sound excellent!
I’m sorry to hear about your sickness though! That’ an awful way to start the year.
Feel better soon and have a lovely week! <3
Aw, that’s too bad. I’ve loved all the books of hers I’ve read. And thanks, Nick. Hope I can shake the sickness soon.
Disney is always fun even in the rain. Nice pics!
Love that Halestorm video! I’m not familiar with them but I’ll be checking them out. Glad some people are still rocking. Her voice kinda reminds me of Sass Jordan (sorta).
This is the first time I got to experience it in the rain, and it was definitely my 2nd favorite D-land trip.
Gotta love females who can seriously rock!
Wow, a stack of new reading there – which will keep you busy. I’m glad you enjoyed Disney. My bro, SIL and niece spent 5wks in the US and did the Disney thing for most of it. My niece is a huge fan and has a gig as a princess at Shanghai Disney which is opening in a few months.
She’ll love it. A friend of mine worked there through high school. She loved it so much that she continued traveling 4 hours to work there during the weekends when she moved for college. lol.
I’m so sorry you started the year sick. Hope your feeling a lot better. I got Walk the Edge and Firstlife. Can’t wait to start WTE. Love her books. Have a great week. 🙂
You got a lot of reading done this week! Yay, you. Hoping you have another great reading week ahead.
Get better soon!
Photos look fab and it sounds fun not having the hassle of overcrowding. But I hope you can shift those germs soon. Why is everyone always sick at this time of year!
And I one-clicked on Brother!
Yay for Disneyland but BOO for being sick. Get better soon!!! Also lots of pretty books!! Ask Me How I Got Here is one I am so interested in. Enjoy them all and have a great week!
There’s some good looking books you’ve acquired!
Sorry you’re not feeling better, Christy 🙁 Hopefully, you’ll shake this sickness with some rest and taking care of yourself!
Your haul is awesome! And the way you’ve lined up those covers make a beautiful caleidoscope of colors.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
yay many great books for you! happy reading and enjoy!
I am glad that you had a great time at Disneyland but hate to hear that you have started the year off being sick. Hopefully you can spend the rest of the year feeling great! You grabbed some great books for this week’s post! I am so excited to see Brother on sale today. I loved that book but I had checked it out from the library. I bought it as soon as I saw the sale this morning because I know it is one that I will want to read again.
I think one of the times we went to DL it was raining and we did California Adventure (right when it opened!) but a lot of the rides were closed. It’s true – it’s so cool to do it b/c it’s so empty. I LOVE the picture of the mountains with the rain behind it! Thank you for sharing it, I really do miss those hills…. *sad dance again* HA!
And I Darken?? I’m checking it out… what made you grab it? Curious.
I’ve been to Dland many times and friends who live down there have told me going when it rains is the best time, but this was the first time it just happen to be raining when I went. Out of all the times I’ve been, this was my 2nd favorite … because of the rain. Never thought I’d say something like that.
I grabbed And I Darken w/o reading the blurb because I’ve loved everything I’ve read by the author so far.
Nice new books for you! So glad you were able to enjoy your trip and I hope you feel better soon, Christy.
Hope you feel better soon. Ugh, this weather is messing with my mood. I feel off kilter today, which usually means I’m about to get sick or some bad news. Enjoy your new books! I’m really curious about Down With The Shine.
So sorry to hear you’ve been sick. It seems like there’s something really going around right now. The trip to Disney sounds fun! I love when the park isn’t super jammed. I’ve never been to Disneyland but I’ve been to Disney World several times and really want to go back soon. Enjoy your new books! I like Heather Graham but haven’t read Phantom Evil though I have read the more recent books in the series. Have a great week!
I guess the blogosphere will be flooded with Cecy Robson reviews for this week alone…. Gotta hunt down that Amanda Stevens book!
Feel better soon, try some ginger tea with honey, it eases some of my discomfort when I’m sick.
And I Darkened sounds good, I hope you enjoy your reading and have a great upcoming week.
OOh your trip sounds like it was tons of fun, but sorry you’re dealing with sickness now. I hate that! It’s one of the worst parts of this time of the year!
Looks like you got some wonderful books though, so yay!
hope you get to feeling better soon. But Disneyland is so fun. I love your loot of books you have here!! I still need to read The Mistake though. Hope you enjoy these.
What a great book haul!! Have fun reading those! I love everything by Armentrout, so I know that will be good. 🙂
Sorry to hear you’re sick. At least it didn’t keep you from enjoying your trip. Sounds like you had a nice time. Too bad you came the only week it’ll probably really rain in SoCal. At least you got to see that it does really rain in Southern California. LOL!
Yay for Disneyland boo for being sick. Hope you are feeling better!
We got a lot of the same books! I hope we both like them. 😉
Great week for you, love the pictures!! I have a few of those books on my TBR already! (My list is enormous!!)
Have another good week!!
Awww that sucks that it was raining when you were down here. It’s been crazy weather these last few weeks. Happy you kind had the parks all to yourselves though! Get better soon.
Hope you’re feeling better but it looks like you had a fun time! Looking forward to what you have for this coming week!
I bet the epic rainstorms are clearing out the amusement parks. I am sure that made it fun and easy to get around. Hope you are feeling better. I am glad you are enjoying all the rain we sent you from Oregon.
The Impostor Queen just came in my mail last week and I’m really looking forward to reading it. Hopefully very soon. Glad you loved it! Sorry you were sick, but still made it on your trip. Looks like fun!
Have a marvelous week!
Oh man on being sick! Hope you’re all mended soon!
I just saw Down with the Shine and had to add it to my TBR. I also really need to start the Thunder Road series. I loved her Pushing the Limits series.
