Georgina Kincaid has had an eternity to figure out the opposite sex, but sometimes they still surprise her. Take Seth Mortensen. The man has risked his soul to become Georgina's boyfriend. Still, with Lucifer for a boss, Georgina can't just hang up her killer heels and settle down to domestic bliss. In fact, she's being forced to transfer operations...to Las Vegas.
The City of Sin is a dream gig for a succubus, but Georgina's allies are suspicious. Why are the powers-that-be so eager to get her away from Seattle - and from Seth? Georgina is one of Hell's most valuable assets, but if there's any way out of the succubus business she plans to take it - no matter how much roadkill she leaves behind.
She just hopes the casualties won't include the one man she's risking everything for....
Boom! I made it through the series with my heart intact. Barely.
So, I listened to all six books in the series within a four month period, and I’m incredibly glad I didn’t have to spread them out over years. That would’ve been painful. It was actually super difficult not to go immediately into one right after another, because they are like crack. A-freaking-ddicting! I thoroughly enjoyed each book individually, but also the whole series.
I already knew where it was all heading, but that didn’t at all diminish the emotions or wanting to pull my hair out at times. Georgina went through quite a bit to get here, but it was all worth it. The author really did an outstanding job making each book exciting and interesting, and then tying everything together in Succubus Revealed.
The characters in this series seriously rocked. Haha … what I would give to watch them bowling. Seriously, Georgina is one witty chick, and I just love the banter and humor between her and … well, everyone. There were a few characters that didn’t let me down. I don’t want to say who specifically View Spoiler », but I had tears in my eyes on a couple of occasions because they really pulled through and became much more than I ever expected.
Ahh, you guys, this was just an awesome series all-around, and Succubus Revealed was a fabulous finale! If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend the audio version, because Elisabeth Rodgers kills it and really brings all the characters to life.
Now on to my next Richelle Mead fix …
I so have to try these
I read the first book of this series, years ago and I loved it but I never continued it and I don’t know why. I’m a huge fan of Richelle Mead and I do think I should continue it. I’m intrigued to find you enjoyed the audiobooks. Granted I haven’t really listened to any so I might try and give it a go. Lovely review! 🙂
Love when a series ends strong! The audio for these is already on my wishlist 🙂
This series is SO good Grace! One of my faves!
I’m glad you survived this series, Christy. Not a lot of us has your stone-hard gut. 😀
Okay, you have convinced me to try this series. I’ve really tried to stay away from her books but everyone seems to love this series in particular.
I’ve been dying to read this review hoping like heck you would love it! I knew you would see a lot of it coming but like you said, it didn’t even matter because there were still surprises and it was so freaking good! I miss these characters!
I am so glad that you enjoyed this series. It is one that I have been wanting to read for a while. I actually have the first book in this series on Audible. It sounds like it might be time to give it a listen.
I adore Richelle Mead and I don’t know why I haven’t read these books. I have the audiobooks lined up to start after the holidays and I can’t wait. I am glad I can listen to them one after the other.
I don’t know. I kinda feel like giving you a dirty look right now. You got me all excited about this series again and I don’t have time for it any time soon. Ahhhhhh
Loved the characters and this series sooo much.
This is on my list and I haven’t started it yet. One day I will totally go through all the books in this series. Can’t wait!
Maybe next year… Happy weekend!
I devoured this and loved it. I cried too.
I liked this one but I know I wanted her to be with ROman… But it was a great end
I finished this series awhile ago and it cemented my love for this author. I’m so happy you loved it too!
I never read this series but it looks entertaining. Glad you enjoyed.
Six books for a series is totally do-able! I like that the ending is right there, so attainable and you’re right, no drawing it out over years! I really need to start this soon!!! It helps that both you and Kim loved it 🙂
Great review, chica!!
YESSS I am so glad you enjoyed this series through! I marathoned it as well and my gosh, it was so good! I loved Georgina so much and Seth was a darling. Great review Christy!
YES! Love this series and it is hard to make it through with your heart intact — that ending, though! SWOOOOOOON! Great review, glad you loved one of my favorite series!!
♥
Ahhh, this may be the first year since reading them years ago that I haven’t done a re-read 🙁
Roman, oh my god he was such a surprise for me considering I thought he was slimy in book one. I ship Carter something fierce and I demand a spin-off about Carter, Jerome and Roman!
