Sunday Post #150 (11/8/15) – Thin Blood & Tennessee Whiskey

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Aaaand it got chilly. We had rain during the first part of the week and it has been in the high 60s the rest. That’s freaking cold to me!

Well, my son’s XC team didn’t win sectionals, some of the guys just weren’t feeling good. However, they pulled through enough to advance to the State Championships. So hooray for that!

Not much reading was done.

The Hohoho Read-a-Thon starts Thursday, so go sign up!

On the Blog

  • Once Kissed by Cecy Robson (review) – Loved it! You need to meet Curran.
  • Cam Girl by Leah Raeder (review) – Dark, gritty, and oh, so beautiful!
  • Break Me Down by Roni Loren (review) – Domme + Loren = Swoon.

  1. Christy

I didn’t realize how many until I put this together. Yeah, I saw Lemmon’s book, but wasn’t sure if I want to read it. It was probably my mood. I’ll read the blurb again and see if my mind changes. lol

  2. Very nice selection of new books, Christy! I love the Downside Ghosts series, and I really hope Kane will release the next installment soon!
Once kissed sounds really good, but I’m not sure I can read about a character named Curran and not think of a certain shifter I know πŸ˜‰
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading!

I hope so. They were only one point behind because their #3 guy fell way behind because he was sick. So we’ll see.

  3. Glad your son and his team still made the states at least!! I had heard the JT and Chris Stapleton performance was awesome but hadn’t watched it so thanks for sharing!!! Enjoy all your new books and have a great week!!

  4. We’ve had 60s and rain too. 60s with sun isn’t too bad but grey and rainy is just freezing! That’s too bad about sectionals but glad they made it to state! It’s sounds like quite a season for your son regardless! Great haul this week! Enjoy all your new books and have a fantastic (and warm) week!

Agreed. Sometimes it was awkward, because she was right next to them and it was like she wasn’t there. At least from what I was able to see.

  5. Yay for cooler weather? It’s gotten pretty cold here too. I went downtown last night and was freezing my butt of.
I’m so excited to see Dirty Deeds in your haul! Can’t wait to read it myself. πŸ™‚
Happy reading and enjoy all the books!

  6. We were in the high 80s all week and now it’s been raining the whole weekend. Supposed to be a more seasonal 70s this coming week. Sure won’t miss the humidity.
That’s a lot of books. LOL I did good this week. Only grabbed a couple of freebies and accepted one review book. I have a lot coming up and need to winnow things down until after the new year.

  7. No Love Allowed comes out next year so you have time πŸ™‚ I got it as well like a month ago. Congrats to your son’s team advancing to State! That’s amazing. Much luck to them πŸ˜€ I can’t wait to read Dreamology! I hope we both enjoy it. Everyone has been talking about Justin Timberlake this weekend so I’ll have to watch those videos.

  8. Well hopefully the cooler weather will bring you some much needed rain. We have been getting lots of it here, which we needed after the hot, dry summer. Congrats to your son, going to state is awesome. That is quite the haul of books. I hope you enjoy them.
