When he’s working, Mike Heyer is all business—every inch the alpha male, with the hard, capable body to back up his persona. But at home he can be a different man entirely, harboring appetites only his wife gets to glimpse…
When Samira first learned of her husband’s fantasies, she was reluctant, even alarmed. But after witnessing the way they set him on fire, she yielded, and happily indulged. As their games have intensified, so has the rush. And now so has the risk—they’re poised to take Mike’s indecent desires to the next level, by opening their bed to a sexy, brazen stranger. A man seeming custom-made to grant every last one of Mike and Samira’s sinful wishes.
Welcoming someone new into their lives was always a dangerous proposition, but the couple imagined if anything was at stake, it was their privacy…not their hearts.
Surprise, surprise. I was extremely interested in Crosstown Crush when I discovered it revolved around a married couple and the husband’s kink of cuckolding. I expected it to be a hot and kinky good time, and it was. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it’s so much more than that.
Mike and Sam have been married for five years and are at ultimate relationship goal status. Seriously, these two don’t just love each other, they’ve vowed to always be open and honest no matter what. And they actually stick to it! Their level of communication is a beautiful thing, and is something a lot of couples could learn from.
They decided to bring another man into their lives, and Bert was a fantastic addition. Listen, this has some smokin’ hot explicit sex, but it’s deeper than that. It explores intimacy and boundaries in a mature and rational way. Sam and Mike’s marriage is never diminished and they always put each other’s feelings first.
Crosstown Crush is an absolutely wonderful book that yes, is sexy as hell, but is also an outstanding example of how to communicate honestly with your partner about each others desires and needs. I loved it, and now I’m very curious about what the second book will bring.
That must be a hard line to tread. Bringing in another person in the sex life and not letting it affect too much
I don’t think bringing a third person into the relationship is something that could be achieved without the open and honest communication here! Great review Christy.
Wow bringing someone else into your marriage is no joke. I don’t think I’ve read something like this so I would be interested to see how they handled it and with their marriage still good. Great review!
Yay for communication! I think so many reads lack that, in all genres so it is refreshing to see!
I saw Jenny reviewed this one too a few days ago, and even though you both praised it highly, I don’t think it’s for me. I’m glad this worked so well for you though and yay to all the sexy times! 😉
Damn, not something I’ve ever read but I’m very interested in trying something new… NOT literally though 😉 Oh dear, getting squeamish over here… Awesome, awesome find, girlie!!!
Oh, and your review didn’t suck, either xoxoxo
Crap – it’s $10 for the Kindle! You’re getting very expensive, dearie 🙁
Sexy with a great side of honesty in communication sounds ncie
“Sam and Mike’s marriage is never diminished and they always put each other’s feelings first.”
YES! That was my biggest fear with this kink – that I would end up pitying Mike and getting angry at Samira for being with someone else, but it was all handled so well. Really looking forward to where this series goes in book 2!
Ha ha… figures you would read this. You make me laugh.
Yes, I can see communication and honesty would be the only thing from keeping that scenario out of disaster zone for their marriage.
I like that the married couple in this book communicates to each other, and they’re ready to take their desires to the next level. Sounds like the plot is well written. I haven’t heard of this one. Great review!
I’d love to read this one. I think a lot if people could learn something from this, instead of judging. No one knows what goes on in someone else’s home. I think that the communication between the couple is great.
I don’t know that this would work for me since I’m dreadfully possessive on behalf of my character and have very little patience for any third person in the mix. However, I’ve read somewhere that they communicate very openly about it, which I like.
I love this author, in fact, I have a book of hers waiting to be read. This topic might interest me… but “cuckold” is a word like “moist”. I hate it. Just sayin.
Kinky…glad you enjoyed this one. I have not tried this author.
Not really my cuppa but I’m curious as to how it is handled. I do love authors who take a situation that you don’t think will work and then make it work!
Half of me is saying, ‘Ohhhh, that’s what THAT means’, the other is saying ‘Why would you get married if you wanted to invite someone else into the martial bed, consensual or not’. It definitely sounds hot though. Even though this isn’t my cup of tea, I certainly know where to come for those raunchy recommendations Christy. Wonderful review <3 <3
Woohoo! I loved this one. I’m curious too what the rest of the series is going to be like.
It’s not something I would be interested in but I adore the cover, love all the covers. I’m glad you enjoyed this!
Well, obviously the concept works well for my dirty mind. But I love how these two keep it honest. That’s rare in a relationship, I think.
Adding this immediately! Great review, Christy!:)
Sounds like one to try! I love that they are so honest and so open with each other.
Wow! Sounds like a hawt, but honest read! I cannot imagine that happening, but it’s great to see that they are so open and willing to try something new!
