The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s been quite a week off the blog. Then my son ran in the West Coast Relay’s on Saturday and did great despite feeling like crap and racing in 90° weather. That’s right, I said 90. Spring? What’s that?

Things to Know
The Clean Sweep ARC Challenge is coming up in May, so link up if you haven’t yet!
Have a great week!
90 degrees? Damn, you went right to summer. Yikes. Ah well, happy reading!
I’ve seen The Many Lives of John Stone on EW but I’ve been hesitant to request it. Curious to know what you’ll think of it, though.
Yikes. 90 degrees? Meanwhile, in Canada, we’re about to get some wet snow tomorrow. Boo.
Have a great week, Christy!
Send it down our way. We need it bad.
This week, we’ve been in summer, too. That weather is crazy, but I won’t complain about too much sun or warmth, lol ! I guess we’ll have to get the summer clothes out of the cupboards but keep the winter clothes close at hand, just in case… Enjoy your week-end 😉
I love this weather, but damn, we need some rain and snow so bad. I would gladly sacrifice some sun time for a few heavy storms.
I’m not a summer person at all. When it gets hot, I lose my appetite and feel a bit sick. I love it when winter comes around again! Then I can just curl up in front of the fire and read!
I’m totally a summer person and hate being cold.
I can’t imagine running in weather that hot – Awesome that he did great. I really looking forward to Black Iris and was so excited to see Marrow was out.Have a great week!
Running a race in 90 degrees does not sound like fun! Ohh and a new Tarryn Fisher, yay! Enjoy 🙂
Yup, global warming seems to have hit it’s mark. It’s meant to be well and truly Autumn but we are still getting pretty humid days. Have a lovely week Christy!
Indeed. We’re literally running out of water. Some places here are out already. It’s crazy.
I guess I should be glad for the last week of downpouring rain. It kept the temp under the 80s. But I so miss the sun. Bravo to your son!
That Marrow cover looks amazing. A new author to me so I’ll be checking it out.
Definitely no spring for you guys! Glad your son did well in the heat!
I almost picked up the first book and didn’t, now you have me rethinking that darn you!
Wow racing in 90 degree weather? Yikes!
Hope you enjoy your books and have a great week!
I so miss Spring…we seem to fluctuate between 50’s and high 70’s in Spring…what ever happened to a few nice weeks of sweater weather in the 60’s?
I just finished Black Iris this morning…wow…don’t know how I am going to review that one!!
It’s crazy. It’s getting to where we barely get any season change.
I know, right?! I so was not expecting that.
I hope you love all your new books. They look so very good.

Oh boy! I’ve raced in that heat before, and it’s not fun, especially when you’re used to training in cooler weather. I love the cover for Marrow! 🙂
I must ask, how was Paradise City!!!????? I love C J’s books and I can’t wait to read this one! Everyone seems to be loving Magic Bites and Iona’s series at the mo. Must have a look at that. Hope you had a great week. 🙂
Marrow looks so freakin’ cool
I just adore the Ilona Andrew’s series!!!! So, so good! I’ve heard lots of good things about the Courtney Summer’s book so I have it on my TBR list but I am waiting till I’m in the right mood for it. Have a great week and I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
We are topping out at 80 today and tomorrow and then we go back down to the 60s. I am not complaining, loving the sunny weather. Yikes, the cover for the Tarryn Fisher book is something else.
What is Marrow? Curious looking book
It’s by Tarryn Fisher. That’s all you need to know. lol
Good luck with Clean Sweep, Christy, and well done to your son!:-)
Wow, 90 degrees? I got pretty hot these last couple days, but today and tomorrow are all about the rain. haha
I liked K Bromberg’s recent book in this series SLOW BURN – it made me cry a lot.
Hope you enjoy Marrow, girl!
Have a fantastic week, get lots of reading done!!
I read about 3 books a week also, and post 2 reviews usually. Thanks for the heads up on the Clean Sweep Challenge. I think I\’ll jump in. I\’ve actually been plowing through my ARCs this month to get ready for summer, but the pile seems to keep growing.
I miss the weather of my childhood…which was calmer and not as exaggerated. We’ve had rain for the past week and it’s just been getting worse with each day, which means tornado season is about to start. I’m in Georgia…we shouldn’t even have a tornado ‘season’. -_- I can’t wait to see what summer is going to be like, I’m probably just going to fry instantly when I leave the house. 😛
I really need to try out a a Tarryn Fisher book, I see her name everywhere.
Ooooh, Sweet Ache. I want it bad!
We’ve been hitting the 80s and dangit I want a real spring here. I got Sweet Ache too! Can’t wait to dig into it. Couple more May books first though 😀
I spy Black Iris in there, how did you find that book? I hope to hear your thoughts on it soon 🙂
Great haul this week. sweet ache looks awesome! And I am reading paradise city right nowI hope you enjoy 🙂 Happy Reading!
Hi Christy! Just stopping by! Happy reading. 🙂
