Yaaaawn … I haven’t been so happy for the weekend in a long time. Last week required too much brain power, and now it’s on autopilot. Like usual. Thankfully next week shouldn’t be as bad. I think a trip to the beach is in my near future. But after spring break!
It’s officially spring, but it has felt like springtime for quite awhile now. Sunny and 80s – I love it. I don’t love that we’re running out of water though.
On the Blog
- Written in Red by Anne Bishop (Review) – Yup, I’m officially a fan.
- Leaving Amarillo by Caisey Quinn (Review) – Twas a good one!

I’m envying your weather! We’re starting to warm up into the 60s here and it looks like it might actually stop raining so we can enjoy it soon! Hope you’re able to get some rest in this week. Dorothy Must Die looks interesting. It seems to be either on people’s best of lists or they don’t like it. I don’t think I’ve read any just okay reviews! Hope you enjoy it and have a great week!
I can’t stop staring at that cover for Bits and Pieces! I feel like I should be disturbed, lol. So glad you picked up Dorothy Must Die, its a book that I really loved! I hope you enjoy, Christy and enjoy your wonderful spring weather.
When I read your yawn, I yawned too, it’s crazy ! Enjoy your spring weather and the sunday quiet, relax – I hope next week won’t be as stressfull as you think (wishful thinking, I know, but it doesn’t hurt !)
I plan to get to Written in red and Dark Alchemy at some point in the future, after changing my mind on both books about fifty times! Hopefully they will both be worth it…
I’m yawning too. I think it’s contagious. LOL I just finished Dark Alchemy and will be sure to check out your review after I post mine. I see a few books I’ll be checking out. I was looking forward to getting in the pool today but woke up to pouring rain, Drat!
I just couldn’t get into the Anne Bishop series – the new book is a choice in my fifth anniversary giveaway. We are nowhere that is at all warm, we had a bunch of snow yesterday. I am heading to FL to see my mom in a bout ten days so I will beach then.
I always love to get a good deal from the books. Bits and Pieces looks good. Zombies are awesome.

I was gonna grab Dorothy Must Die but I just passed on by it. I’ve been seeing Bits & Pieces lately and it looks like a great read. Enjoy your books!
Ahh Christy you finally read Unteachable and The Start of Me and You! I hope you loved both and can’t wait to hear your thoughts ont them!
I still have snow on the ground and yet I’m getting pollen alert emails for trees that are blooming. smh I’m glad you’ve got good weather. I’ve been saving your Written in Red review to read, time to read it. I’m so happy that you and Kimba have jumped on board this series!
I really need to pick up Dorothy Must Die soon. I am interested in the Jonathan Maberry book I haven’t heard of him.
Cannot wait to hear what you thought of Where Sea Meets Sky!! I’m so excited to read that π
I’m curious what you think about Dorothy Must Die; I’ve heard mixed things, so I’m not sure…
I’m not a beach person, but I WILL be excited when it’s finally pool weather. That’s my one love about the summer heat. haha

On the next full moon I will do a naked rain dance for you. Dorthy Must Die was interesting. You need the next Other’ book.
Make sure to record that. lol. I’ll get MoC when I’m ready to read it.. hopefully soon.
Spring is so trying to get here. Still too cold at night but have had some pretty days π Hope this week is quieter for ya!
Our first day of spring meant a snow storm. I’m hoping it’s the last one of the season and we can get real spring weather. Enjoy yours!
I’ve been eying Dorothy Must Die. That one looks really good.
Have a great week!
Dorothy Must Die! That was a good read π I remember not quite liking the beginning because of the stereotypes characters and the too ”contemporary” vibe but then, in the world of Oz, it was amaaaazing. Hope you enjoy!!
I saw the new Maberry book and so thought of you! I’m so glad you picked it up, one day I will start the series, I promise!
OMG, Dorthy Must Die is soooo cheap. Just got it!
Oh I’m curious about the Dorothy book, I heard great things about it. Happy reading!
Envy your temperatures, but don’t envy the water situation. Still grey and miserable here in the UK, but we always get a diluted version of what the East Coast has, so that’s not really surprising.
Here’s to a more relaxed week. I can totally understand being fried!
We are doing fine here in Portland after the light winter, but they are already worrying as we haven’t had hardly any snow in the mountains this winter. I hope we get plenty of rain. I am glad you loved both Written in Red and the Bickle book. I have that one coming up soon.
I am so glad you jumped on the Bishop bandwagon, Christy. Well done!!! And keep reading her!:-)
Glad you had a good week, I think I am getting behind in a few things, but oh well!
Enjoy your new read.
