Unlike the heroine of her popular thriller series, Georgia Delaune can’t afford to take risks or push sexual boundaries—unless you count spying through her neighbor’s bedroom window, and never missing a single move he makes.
Colby Wilkes is more than willing to put on a show for the alluring woman next door. But his dominant side aches to show her the pleasures of submission up close. As a counselor, Colby is sensitive to Georgia’s fears. As a Dom at The Ranch, a private BDSM retreat, he’s the perfect teacher to unleash her passion.
But just as Georgia lowers her emotional barriers, an unexpected complication arrives: a bad boy musician from Colby’s past who adds fuel to her heated imagination. Now, the lonely author has two gorgeous men eager to fulfill every fantasy she’s ever written—and one she’s never dared to dream…
Slap me! I almost passed this book right up thinking I wouldn’t be that into it. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Nothing Between Us was so good and so, so freaking hot! This is only my second book by Loren, but I’m kind of obsessed now.
Georgia is dealing with some pretty scary stuff in her life that has her hiding out in her house. Panic attacks and paranoia abound. Luckily, she has the perfect view right into her neighbor’s bedroom. And what a lovely show he puts on. Sure, she has barely said a few words to him since she has moved in, but man, can he get her off.
♥ The characters are absolutely lovely. Colby, Keats, and Georgia are well fleshed out and all have such distinctive personalities. I’m usually not all over male doms, but Colby … hell yeah. He is such a wonderful, caring man (even with a flogger in his hand). He’s in his thirties and wants to settle down. I love what a real man he is, instead of some wishy-washy wounded man-child. The stability and experience he provides is sexy as hell.
Keats is such a great guy too, despite some of the shit he went through. He can be such a smartass, so of course I love him. That isn’t only why, though. He is so good to Georgia and helpful with what she’s going through.
Georgia is a character that could have easily gone downhill for me, but the author did a fantastic job with her. She’s in the midst of some pretty scary stuff that is affecting her mental health, but she wants to break free from what she has become. And what a dirty bird she is!
♥ The humor totally won me over too. I just love how they would laugh and tease each other, even during some of the most intimate moments. I find that extremely sexy.
♥ Whoa, baby, was this hot! Talk about a smokin’ ménage! I can’t even tell you how much I love these three together. The BDSM is done so well and beautifully. I truly enjoy the dynamic they had, but I would’ve loved to have seen some of Georgia in domme mode, especially around Colby – yum. When Keats and Colby had their moments … holy shit. I need to fan myself!
♥ No, this book isn’t all sex, sex, sex. There’s actually a really good plot going on here. Promise! Like I said, Georgia is dealing with some scary shit. Like a psycho-stalker ex. I thought the whole storyline was really good, and enjoyed how it all unfolded. Then at the same time, Colby is dealing with his own thing regarding the school he’s a counselor at. It was all pulled together fantastically.
♥ I love how characters from the other books make appearances! I’ve been pinning for Pike for a while, so it was nice seeing him, especially since his book is next!
So hell yeah, I love Nothing Between Us! Roni Loren does this genre so very right …
This is #6? Did you read them all or can you just jump in?
Some of the characters overlap because they’re all friends that visit the same club, but you can definitely jump in any time. And this is coming from me, who is a freak about reading in order. lol.
Yay Christy!!! I’m so glad you gave them a go 🙂 You know I adore the series. Every single one I’ve tried has really blown me away no matter what the “couple” or kink combos. She really has an amazing talent.
Damn, this book sounds right up my alley! Thanks for sharing Christy!:)
I like it when the characters appear in each others stories. I find my self looking for them when I read each book in the series:)
Drug and alcohol use, eh? I don’t know about that. The rest sounds like a fantastic erotic romp in the sheets…or wherever. *smirks*
Hahaha – no, there’s no drug or alcohol use in this specific book. Well, they have some drinks, but that’s all. lol.
Tell me something Christy – do all three of them end up together, or does she end up with just one while they occasionally play with a third? I’m all for a sexy menage, but I tend to like it best when all three people actually have feelings for one another:) Either way, I’ll be picking this one up!
Yup, they are a lovely couple .. er, trio. All three love each other.
I know that you are just as anal as I am about reading in order so I trust you if you say you were okay with it and not at all lost starting at book six.
And secondly…where the heck do you find all these great reads and why must you make me want to read them too? You’re killing me!
I don’t think this book is for me, but I’m glad you enjoyed this so much. It sounds fun and sexy! 😉
I can’t believe you didn’t read in order!! 😀 LOL, I haven’t read this one yet, but I read all the others. Love Roni Loren! Can’t wait to read this one, too 🙂
Christy picking up a sixth book in a series? Christy not going completely crazy over NOT reading all the books in order? Haha. I’m only teasing.
This one sounds like a steamy read *Wink*
The cover certainly doesn’t scream read me. I am glad that there is more to it than sex sex sex. Happy weekend.
Oh nice. I’ve been wanting to read a book by this author. Hm.. might have to be this one. 🙂
She’s on my to-read this year. Here’s to hoping I actually do it. I get so easily distracted.
Interesting, once in a while books like this win me over as well. I do adore when the author does a great job with the characters and the storyline midst all the sex.
Oh wow! This sounds Amazing! I love hawt, sizzling and funny reads! All that in one book, yes please!
See, all you had to do was put ménage in the first sentence and I would have been sold way sooner. But nooooooo, you put it in the middle, made me work for it! The kindle price is ridicules, I will wait until it hopefully gets cheaper.
Love how hot this sounds. I’m dying to read it now! And yay for well fleshed out characters as well as lots of steam.
Oh this book so reminds me of The Marked Men when you mentioned in earlier comments that they overlap with friendships. OH MY GOD I need this series…immediately. I need the hotness of the character and Georgia who sounds like such an amazing character. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Christy! 🙂
lovely review, this book is so interesting, thanks for sharing
YESSS! I am so glad to read Roni Loren, Christy She is onlyone of my favorite authors in erotic romance 🙂 I lovehow her heroes are so humanized and vulnerable. This was one of her best books so far.
