WHAT IS WITH MIKE McCAULEY?
Every time Delilah Webster runs into Mike McCauley, he practically bites her head off. The rough-and-tumble contractor clearly has baggage. Del has her own emotional scars and knows she's better off keeping her distance, but Mike's temptation in jeans and a T-shirt and she's always been good with her hands...There's something about the strong-willed mechanic that sets Mike's motor running-and scares the hell out of him. Mike has loved and lost and will never hurt like that again, even if that means walking away from a woman who makes him feel alive for the first time in years.
When a simple kiss turns hot and heavy, Mike discovers he can't stay away, no matter how certain he is they're destined to crash and burn...
Aw, I don’t want to say good bye to the McCauley brothers, but it’s time. Reading What to Do with a Bad Boy was definitely bittersweet. After reading all four books, I can safely say that this one was my favorite.
Mike and Del’s story is the perfect one to go out on. I knew Del was going to be my favorite of the girls as soon as she stepped on the scene in the second book. She’s different than any woman Mike has been with; tall, tattooed and pierced. Del has no problem saying what’s on her mind, and is one tough chick. Despite the hard exterior, she has a big heart.
I really liked Mike, too. He’s the oldest of the brothers and has a six-year-old son, Colin. He lost his wife years ago and never planned to find love again, even though his mom is constantly trying to fix him up. Meddling moms, gesh! He has a gruffness about him that is pretty damn hot.
Oh how much I love a good antagonistic love story. Mike and Del don’t exactly start out on the best of terms. Mike can be intimidating with his big muscles, but that doesn’t faze Del, she’ll give his attitude right back. I love how they still banter even after they grew closer, but it turns more fun and teasing.
There are so many different types of relationships in this book/series, but when it comes down to it, they’re all family. I absolutely love the dynamics they all have with each other. They’re all very good at giving each other a hard time, and it can be pretty damn funny.
It’s nice to see how well Abby, Vanessa, and Maddie have assimilated into the McCauley clan, and how their relationships with the guys have grown. But I so badly wish that the author included an epilogue that jumped at least 3-5 years, just give us a small glimpse of how everyone is doing. I guess my imagination will do.
What to Do with a Bad Boy is not only a fun and sexy book, the entire series is. Though they can be read individually, I highly suggest reading in order.

I really loved that series too, I love how Marie Harte can give us very human and lovable characters and I’m looking forward to read that one ! Great review 🙂
great review, i will try to read this series it looks like an AWESOME read 🙂 happy you enjoyed it 😀
Yeah, this series is on my TBR. I love how much you loved it. I have the first one which I will try soon.
I’m thinking I need to read this series Christy! I’ve been in a bit of a rut lately and need some bad boys to get me out of it:) Love the sound of Del and the fact that she’s so different from the other women Mike has dated previously. Fantastic review!
Too bad there wasn’t an epilogue, I do wish more series would do that. Oh well, at least this was your favorite of the four, that is awesome and rarely happens.
What to do indeed…
I love antagonistic relationships as well, primarily because I know the reconciliation will be steamy! Hehehe..
Have a nice Monday, Christy!
I’m so happy that this series ended on a high note, and the fact that this was your favourite installment out of the four is awesome. It’s too bad about the lack of an epilogue, but then again sometimes it’s fun to figure it out for yourself. I love me some smexy McCauley Brothers!
I’ve been seeing gushing reviews of this series for so long. I really need to get over myself and just buy book one already. All this gushing is making me jelly. I luff a tough chick!
Glad to hear this one was your favorite! I love the sound of Mike (such a sucker for the gruff types), and his antagonistic relationship with Del sounds like fun! 🙂 Awesome review, I’ll have to check this series out so I can meet the whole McCauley clan!
I love this series and I’m up for a binge read soon! This volume is what I’m most excited about, ever since I met Delilah I want to get to know her more. I love badass chicks!
I read half of this book and absolutely loved it. It just goes to show how extensive my slump is that I still haven’t finished this. Great review!
This sounds like it ends well. It is always a good sign when you want just a little bit more. Not need, but want. Sounds like a good series overall!
aww yea it’s always hard to say goodbye to a series, but always wonderful when it actually ends well instead of wanting you to throw a book out the window.. -cough- like some have done in the past. Closure is good!
Boy do I need a good romance. I read one over the weekend that was awful. I think maybe I should try this series.
I loved this series and agree I want more! My review will post Weds..i think. I love the small town vibe and family banter.
I need to check out this series. It sounds like a good one. The blurb for this one particularly appealing.
oh my word. She writes so fast! I still need to read book one. That’s awesome the last was the favorite. You so don’t hear that often. Maybe she’ll do a follow up novella on how everyone’s doing if enough people show interest. Love when authors do that 🙂
This is the first time I hear about this series, but they sound fun. Glad the last was good for you, too.I’ll check them out!
I always get a bit annoyed when my books epilogue’s don’t have significant time jumps because I always want to see how the characters are way down the road. Not just a month or two down the road *sigh* BUT that aside it sounds like this book was purely awesome for you. I’m glad you enjoyed these two characters stories and felt that the series went off with a bang with them 🙂
This sounds great! I’m glad the entire series was strong. It’s always sad when the character I was really looking forward to reading’s book just doesn’t live up to my expectations. Now that they’re all out I may have to go on a bit of a book buying binge!
It is so great to see you get to the end of a series and find that book to be your fav!! I think I’d like any of these guys though 😉 . Fab review Christy!
