The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It’s Labor Day weekend here in the States. This is sad because it marks the end of summer.
My laptop is now fixed! The old one I was using completely gave out, so I was without one for over a week. I mean, I had my phone and Kindle so I was able to get on the internet, but I hate using them for blog stuff. Since I had a little blogging break, this post covers the last two weeks.
The only thing that really sucked was not being able to type up the reviews for books I read during that time. Now I need to go on a review writing spree.
I read 15 books in August. Please, please … hold your applause.
I have a giveaway for The Distance Between Us by Kasie West on Facebook. Just ‘like’ the status update. HERE.

Hope you all have a great week!
I can’t wait to read Ugly Love. I’ve adored all of CoHo’s books I’ve read by her (Including reading Maybe Someday twice in one month.)
*applauds you for finishing 15 books in August*
Happy reading! Hope you have a great week
Maybe Someday is my favorite of hers, and a favorite in general. Ugly Love is my 2nd fav of hers.
Thanks, Beth.
YAY for working laptop!!! I have used my Kindle Fire for blogging but it’s definitely not ideal. And you have lots of new lovelies to read, enjoy!
It just ends up annoying me. I hate ‘typing’ on screens like that too.
Oooh, I will have to look into the free-$1.99 books on amazing. Love me some deals.
Some of them were ‘Daily Deals’ on Amazon, but others might still be cheap.
I also find computer more convenient for almost everything. I don’t like using smartphone that much. 15 is a great number! i think i could only managed not more than 10 books this month. anyway hope you have a great week ahead!
I just can’t get used to ‘typing’ very much on the screen, it bugs me. Thanks, Deasy.
Oh yay for having a laptop again! I go stir crazy when that happens and I’m left to the phone. Good luck catching up on all the review writing 🙂
Thanks, Anna. I got four done yesterday. Now four more to go. Blah.
I’m so glad you got a laptop back ! And 15 books ?! Wow ! The Cursed bloodline cover made me smile because I’ve seen that same couple under different angles on so many book covers that I would be surprised to not see them again lol !
Have a great week and enjoy your new laptop 🙂
I’ve never noticed this couple before, but there are a couple of others I see one a lot of different books.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Addicted series. Gah. I have so much love for it. I want everyone to read it.
I see some other fantastic books in your haul this week. Dirty Red and All Lined Up were both great, but for totally different reasons! I hope you enjoy both of them… and all the others!
Same here. I want to MAKE everyone read that series.
Dirty Red was really good. I actually don’t hate Leah anymore. lol.
The Frost books are nice, I finished the series a few days ago. I also have the Robson book and I can’t wait to read it. I love the series. Happy reading!
I already had the first book, but haven’t read it yet. I went ahead and grabbed these since they were on sale.
YESSS i am so glad you’ve picked up the Jeaniene Frost sequels, one of my favourite vampire series! I’ve heard good things about All Lined Up as well. Glad to hear your laptop is fixed, that must have been a withdrawal! Happy reading Christy 🙂
I haven’t started the series yet, but grabbed these since they were on sale. I’ve had the 1st book for a long time though.
At first there were withdrawals, but it was kind of nice after a few days.
Oh yes, I HATE trying to do blog stuff on my mobile devices. Laptop only please! Glad you finally get it fixed. Glad to hear you loved Ugly Love. I wasn\’t sure about it, but thought it ended up being well done and beautifully written really. I also loved The 5th Wave so I\’m interested to see what you thought of that. Lots of books over the last two weeks. I\’ve got Freak of Nature too but haven\’t read it yet. And Tarryn Fisher is on my TBR list. Have a great week!
Sandy @ Somewhere Only We Know
Glad you liked Ugly Love! Oh man, you should read The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher. Wow!
I’ve added it on my TBR list! Thanks for the rec!
Where did the summer go?! Yay for the computer being fixed. You got a lot of great books. 🙂 Happy Labor Day!!!
Blah, it went by way too damn fast. Thanks, Jenea, you too.
Great stack of books. I see quite a few that look interesting. A Cursed Bloodline is going to be awesome. I see quite a few that are new to me.
Grace @ Books of Love
I know, I can’t wait to read it!
The end of summer…YEA! It’s been a hot, humid and crappy summer over here for me so I am ready to embrace all things cold! Hope you enjoy your reading!
Not YEA! I hate the cold. lol.
Great books this week! Yay for getting your laptop back! I can’t stand doing blog stuff on my phone or Kindle so I can completely understand how glad you must be to get your laptop back! Good luck with your review writing spree!
Thanks, Katherine. Yeah, I love my laptop. lol
Look at you reading 15 books. I hope you liked 5th Wave and I am glad you are back in the sphere. No go write those reviews!
Yeah, 5th Wave was pretty good. Ha – I got 4 done, and now 4 to go.
I have definitely been noticing Ugly Love around…I have never read this author, but I am curious!
Being without a computer sucks! I had a desktop for years, and then it got a little unreliable, to say the least, so I bought Lizzie Mae (my laptop).
And I totally clicked “enter” without meaning to, so thanks for visiting my blog.
Ugly Love is very good. I love her work, but this and Maybe Someday are my favorites and stand out more.
Isn’t it wonderful when everything is working and fully up and running? I know what you mean I hate being stuck with just the mobile and iPad, I can never manage to blog from these gadgets. Welcome back 🙂
Thanks. Yeah, I much prefer my laptop for pretty much everything.
15, that’s awesome, I reached 10 only
Not only. 10 is a lot!
Congrats on fixing your laptop! It’s such a nightmare when they stop working. And 15 books, that’s awesome! Hope you get caught up on your reviews really quickly. I struggle so much when they pile up. Happy reading 🙂
I know, catching up on writing reviews is a pain. But I only have 4 more to go. Woohoo.
That’s great that your laptop is back to working. Yay for 15 August books! That’s great. Hope this is a good week for you.
Thanks, Yvonne. 🙂
I so want a new computer..my is slowly dying and is so old it’s a Vista..lol. I am thinking that if Walmart does there Christmas Layaway this year that it’s going to be the Christmas gift to myself. 🙂
You got a lot of great looking books. Enjoy!
Stormi
That would definitely be a great gift! 😉
Nice batch of books! I hope you enjoy Night Huntress as much as I did. Six Months Later was good, and Untamed was pretty interesting, but I haven’t read further in the series.
Enjoy your books!
Yay for the new laptop! I swear things have been quiet without you around!
I know what you mean though, I must do the blogging stuff on my computer too… doing it anyway else is wrong!
Welcome back!!
Oh… and I hope you love Torrent!! I want the next one!!
Amazing!! Hope you have a great week, and happy reading!!
Yay for fixed computers! It really does suck when something happens to them.
Congrats on all the great books and deals!
Glad you have a computer again! I know the feeling of being stuck without access (well the right kind of access – I hate writing on my phone) to bloggy stuff – I’ve been traveling so much lately and have just had to be MIA while on the road because internet has been few and far between. You read a ton of books! 🙂
