Oh man, am I ever glad I at least partially prepared this post last week. It was another hectic, tiring week. Except worse. Next week will be too, but hopefully not as bad.
On top of that, school starts for my son on Thursday. I was filling out his emergency papers so he could get his schedule, and thinking about how much I hate filling that paperwork out every year. Then I realized it’s that last time I’ll have to, and that made me sad. 🙁

Hah – yeah, they’ll go by fast.
I totally forgot I wanted to read Ugly Love! That’s going to be a Target sale buy – they seem to carry all those books on the cheapie. I refuse to buy the ebook – It’s $7.59! ugh! I should go check B&N, though, since I bought the membership in support of my semi-silent “down with Amazon” campaign. But Amazon has everything…. *palm face*
What’s up with being so busy?! And I can’t believe school is starting so soon! Awwww…. college app time too, I bet. Hang in there this year… It hasn’t even started and you’re weepy! Better keep him close by 🙂
It’s worth $7.59! lol.
Blah … just a lot of paperwork and traveling, and not the fun kind. Yeah, I know, the college stuff is already going to start in a couple of months. Sheesh.
If your son is finishing school there will be plenty of opportunities for filling out paperwork for the next few years. But THAT probably wasn’t your point. Summer is a steamroller at the end I think. All the time I wanted to spend at the beach, the projects I had planned, are all slipping through my hands.
Oh yeah, a whole new set of paperwork will be starting soon.
I sat yesterday filling out the papers for my kids. You’d think I would only have to fill out one set being that they go to the same school. lol… Upside Down is pretty good, hope you enjoy and the rest of the books. 🙂
I know, right? I don’t know why new ones have to be filled out every year. It should only be if there are changes.
Even though I am not quite into the high school years yet, it is sad to see them get so much older. It makes ME feel old and I don’t like that. 🙁
Don’t worry, I am sure next year in college there will be even more crap to fill out. 😉
Lol – yeah, still plenty of paperwork to do. 😀
I love grabbing the freebies. Looks like you got a nice selection from NG. I just can’t say no to new pretties.

Sometimes I just can’t resist.
My kids have open house this week and I’m already dreading the paperwork. Until, I read this and now I’m grateful to have eleven more years.
I’m super excited about What to Do with a Bad Boy! I can’t wait for Mike and Del!
Have a great week!
Ha – enjoy the paperwork while you can. 😀
I know, I’m so excited for Del. I fell for her the instant she stepped out of the car to help Abby. LOL.
I love Marie Harte, her books are so good ! Haven’t read that series yet but I will. Have a great week !
I’ve only this series of hers, and love it.
You got some hot looking books, enjoy! I hope this week is calmer for you.
Thanks, Bea!
Ooo I remember how hard it was when my oldest was a senior..i was happy, sad, happy. You are about to experience a lot of first again. Hope your week is amazing my friend.
Thanks, Kim!
I hate school paperwork. It would be sad if it was the last time though. It looks like you had a great book week!
Thanks, Candace!
Ugly Love, curious to read what you think about that.
Back to school means summer is almost over. It’s hard to believe it went that fast.
Enjoy your books and have a great week!
I’m going to have to go back and find your If I Stay review. I’m planning on rereading that some time this week, and the first time I read it (years ago) I absolutely LOVED it. Also–I hope this week is indeed less stressful 😉
I have a senior too so I understand where you’re coming from. I’ve decided I’m going to turn her room into my reading room when she moves out after college so anytime I start to get sad I start planning my reading room and it cheers me up a bit. The college she wants to go to is 6 hours away so I’m trying not to think about that! The How to Handle a Heartbreaker series looks really cute. Glad you’re joying it. I’ll have to give it a try. Have a great week!
It is nice to get ahead on posts sometimes. I feel like I have really been busy lately and wish I would’ve had some posts together. Then again sometimes if I post too much .. I get so behind on comments. I need to catch up on comments tonight actually.
I’m starting my masters this fall at a new school, and I know what you mean about filling out paper work! I’m definitely tired of it, ahah.
ooh, What To do With a Bad Boy sounds good 😉 Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
I don’t really pre-order books either, so that’s exciting!!!
Oh, yes. Not looking forward to the beginning of the year paperwork which I call my homework since I ahve to do it three times. But you’re right, next year I’ll only need to do it twice. But hey, don’t worry. I’m sure there will be plenty of paperwork to fill out for college. Right? *thud*
Hey girl, heyyyyy!!!
How are you? I mean besides the craziness of life, How are you, really? 🙂 I’ve been well absent. Sigh. Anyway, I’m back…so, catching up.
I just read Ugly Love. Loved and disliked. My feelings are confused.
Anyway, have a great week!
I just requested the audio of Ugly Love. I hope it is a good one. Man a senior in high school, that is hard to believe. I am sure this is going to be a roller coaster year for you. Make sure you take it easy and drink a few margaritas this week.
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Ugly Love. More than one person has declared it their favorite Hoover book, so I’m SO curious! Sorry for comment bombing you all at once but I’ve been traveling and I’m catching up on ALL the reading/commenting now. 🙂
