The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It is officially summer (in the northern hemisphere) and we have the 102° temperature to prove it! I do believe it’s time for a beach trip.
Is anyone else excited for this?
It starts July 13th on FX and is based on The Strain by Guillermo del Torro.
I want to thank everyone for celebrating my 3rd blogoversary with me. The winner of the giveaway is Jennifer L. Also, I held a few flash giveaways on Facebook, and think I might continue doing them randomly just for the hell of it.

Have a great week!
Hope you get to the beach and soon. I’m envious, it’s winter here in Australia and I can’t wait for the weather to warm up again.
Nice haul this week, I hope you enjoy them.
Sharon
I hope so too! It’s okay, when it’s freezing here, I’ll be envious of you Australians. 😉
Fall of the Night looks totally up my alley! I love zombie books. Have a great week Christy!
You need to read the first book, Dead of Night! I love Maberry’s books.
Yay for the beach trip ! I’ve seen the Trail will be aired next and it looks good – the books had more or less good reviews, but I’d like to watch it. Have a great week 😉
A trip the the beach is indeed a good thing. 🙂
Oh, you grabbed some really amazing books this week. I have a copy of Shadow and Bone but still haven’t read it. I’m waiting for my Ruin and Rising to arrive first. I really hope you’ll enjoy all those books. Great haul 🙂
Someone told me it was $2.99 so I grabbed it. Everyone seems to love it.
I only know about one but I love the covers and I’m curious to learn more about them. Happy reading!
Thanks, Melliane!
Yay for the beach! I hope you have a great time and enjoy all those books! Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post 🙂
Thanks, Kimberly! 🙂
lol I just had the beach in mind too, hope you have a great time!I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about Shadow and Bone, think I will have to grab that one myself soon too.
Thanks! Yeah, a lot of people seem to love Shadow and Bone.
What beach do you go to??? I’m totally jealous that you live in Cali but I do have to admit, I live a 5 minute drive from my beach and if I look out over the water, I don’t see any land so I pretend it’s the ocean! tee, hee…
I don’t think that’s a lot of books! You really were due to fill up your reader again! Sounded like you had a cranky week (on FB) so you needed some “retail” therapy, anyways 😀
It’s kind of a joke around here… when anyone from Bakersfield to Fresno says “The Beach”, you automatically know they mean Pismo. lol. That’s like our 2nd home. There’s also Morro Bay, but we usually go there to eat, shop around, and few other stuff. If you want a more recluse small beach town get away, you go to Cayucos. We used to have a condo there, but it burned down when I was a teen. And NO, I had nothing to do with it. All three are just a few miles up and down the coast from each other.
LOL – Yeah, there was something posted on FB that was not meant to go there and has been deleted. 😀
Wow, 102 degrees? We had almost 90 here and everyone was going crazy. LOL I do love the summer, though.
I’m looking forward to watching The Strain. It looks good.
Have a great week!
95-110 is normal around here during summer.
Yeah, I’m kind of excited about it.
That is way too hot. Eeeep. Stay cool and enjoy your winnings and your deals. 🙂
Thanks, Bea! 🙂
Congrats on your wins. You have so many beautiful books. I see a lot of good ones that look exciting.
Grace
Thanks, Grace. 🙂
The Strain looks positively gory! And no wonder. 🙂 Summer is off to a good start up here in dear old Canada. We’ve been having a lot of storms lately, however. But yesterday was such a perfect day!
Have a great week, Christy.
Hooray for gory!! 😀 I love summer storms.
I’m really interested in trying some of Marina Adair books. They always look so cute and perfect for summer. Have you read anything by her before?
Enjoy your goodies and happy reading 🙂
No, I haven’t. This will be the first book I’ve read by her. The thing is, it’s the 5th book in the series, but I guess can be read as standalone. I still might read them in order.
Holy cow! If it was 102 where I am, I’d go to the beach too. You Northerners have had it rough this year with the arctic winter and now blistering summer. I’m in the friggin’ South and it hasn’t gotten above the low 90s. And that’s enough about the weather, LOL. I hadn’t heard of the new FX show, but I will definitely check it out, and SO glad you got Shadow and Bone. Now you just have to find the time to read it, right? 😉 Happy Sunday!
Technically, I’m a westerner. lol. When you mentioned S&B was on sale I grabbed it. That was the easy part. Now to actually read it is the tough part. 😀
Ahh lucky! It’s been raining here for a week now ): I need sunshine!! Haha. I love the Distance Between Us, hope you enjoyed it! Also, love the cover of Fall of Night! Have an awesome week (:
I love summer storms, but raining for a week … booo. I love the cover of Dead of Night and Fall of Night.
Wow! 102 is crazy! Looks like you got some great books- The Winter Guest is stunning. Hope the books lives up to the cover. Have a great week and try to get to the beach!
I hope it’s good too. I don’t often read books like that anymore, but I usually enjoy them when I do.
Thanks for the head’s up on Shadow and Bone! Need that book bad!
It was like 2 bucks when I bought it, hopefully the price is still down.
It has gotten hot here too, thankfully not quite int he 100’s yet but I am sure that is just around the corner.
I have been seeing others post about that new show but I know nothing about it yet. I guess I need to go check it out.
I’ll gladly send you some of the heat. 😉
I have so many books on my wish list (as well as some other things like DVDs). I really need to try and get some every now and then if they are priced well, especially some of the e-books.
It looks like you got lots of goodies this week! Claimed was a good read. I really enjoy the Club Sin series.
I hope you enjoy your books!
I loved On The Fence. I still need to read Take Me On and anything by Jonathan Maberry. Love kindle deals. Hope you enjoy Shadow & Bone! I just finished the series and really enjoyed it.
Whoop whoop!! I hope you read Lost In Me and get addicted like me!! Nice haul Christy!!
Naomi @ Nomi’s Paranormal Palace
Is that a physical book I spy, christy?? :p I have not heard of the strain, but I am intrigued. I will have to see what you think of it once it starts
Happy Reading!
Better Homes and Hauntings is on my WL so I can’t wait to see what you think of it! 102?! NO THANK YOU! It gets in the 80’s here and I’m complaining!
Ahhh it is so hot here too! But not 100 yet. I so want the winter back! lol
I got a few of those books this week as well and ooo The Winter Guest looks so good! Gonna have to go give that a look see 🙂
I have Shadow and Bone but never got to it. Looking forward to see what you think.
Thank you for sharing my celebration Christy!! How bad is it that I’m practically drooling over that Jonathan Maberry book but I haven’t even started that series yet. Love his writing!
