The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

What the hell? We’re already halfway through June. I refuse to accept this! REFUSE! At least it has cooled back down to the 90s.

Oh the Blog

I only got two books this week. High five!

I pre-ordered Dirty Angel, but it showed up on my Kindle on Saturday. You can pre-order it for $0.99! The price will go up soon after it’s released. So grab it now!

  1. I still haven’t read Karina Halle, although I have one of her books on my kindle. And yep, can not believe it’s mid June already! This is criminal! Thank you for saving my immortal soul on Goodreads, Christy, and enjoy all your reads!

  2. I don’t think I could read Dirty Angels .-. I strongly dislike Javier and I don’t feel like changing my opinions about him (:P). That does remind me that I do need to finish The Artists Trilogy! I read the first book but never got around to picking up the sequels (out of fear of the love triangle) .-.

    Happy Reading, Christy!! πŸ™‚

I don’t like Javier either… well, I loved to hate him by the 3rd book. And the 2nd book in the Dirty Angels series focuses on a secondary character from the 3rd Artist trilogy. You should just read them. Even if you get upset during the 2nd one, see it all the way through to the end.

Flat-Out Love is one of my all time favorite books! I picked up Dirty Angels too and I\’m trying to decide whether to read it now or hold off a little while. I love Karina\’s books but I have to be in a certain mood to enjoy them. Dirty Angels looks like it will be… gritty… and amazing, of course.

Oh good! It was an impulse buy, so hopefully I’ll like it. Did you read the Artists trilogy? If so, did you see who the 2nd Dirty Angel’s book will be about? πŸ˜€

  4. Love the song by the Kongos, I didn’t know that group, thanks ! I’ve read the Artists’ trilogy by Karina Halle and loved it, it was gripping, but I’m not in the mood for that kind of stuff nowadays, I’ll see that in a few months. Have a great week !

  5. WHAT?! *looks at calendar* GAH! I was happily oblivious until you said something! I *knew* (subconsciously) that we were already halfway through June, but did you have to point it out?! Fine. Then I will point out that we are very nearly halfway through 2014. So there. *runs away laughing maniacally* πŸ˜‰

Blahhh … I need it to go slooooow. It’s freaking depressing when I barely blink and another week has gone by.

  7. I noticed Dirty Angel’s on my Kindle-App this morning, yay! I’ll read anything Karina Halle writes, she’s at the top of my auto-buy list. I loved the Artist’s Trilogy and yeah I’ve always loved and preferred Camden, but I just have to see what Javier’s story turns out to be. Can’t wait to read it, hope you love it!

Yeah, I loved to hate Javier, so I’m curious. And I can’t wait for the second DA book, which is about Derek. I liked him.

  8. Two books and you think you’re all that, huh? Well, that does show great restraint and I bow to the greatness that is you. But… eh, I have no self-control and I consider it my civic duty to make all books feel wanted.

yes, I rationalize with the best!

I’m so glad the temperature is better now for you!! UGH on crazy inland heat πŸ™ You don’t get fires, do you?

    • Christy

Kneel before me!! Seriously, I just didn’t see anything I really wanted this week.

We do get fires, but they’re usually up a little higher. But we don’t get them nearly as bad as down south.

  9. Flat Out Love has intrigued me since it came out.. but I’m still not 100 percent SURE it’s for me.. since I’m not huge on romance, but sometimes when books get so much hype I just HAVE to read them to find out what everyone is raving about πŸ˜€

I hope you love your books and *high five* on two, it’s so nice sometimes to be able to catch up on other books! By the way, love the new layout! Which I’m not sure if I just haven’t been here enough to see it or if I have been oblivious on my previous visits, but I love it totally, especially the background!

I haven’t even read the blurb for it! LOL. I just remember it being on blogs and it turned into an impulse buy. Hopefully it’s good.

      Thanks April. πŸ™‚

  10. I’ve had Flat Out love for over two years and still haven’t read it! I even half Flat Out Celeste. I hope you enjoy it and Dirty Angels!
