No. More. Sex.
Those are the three words Lily Calloway fears the most. But Loren Hale is determined to be with Lily without enabling her dangerous compulsions. With their new living situation—sleeping in the same bed, for real, together—Lily has new battles. Like not jumping Lo’s bones every night. Not being consumed by sex and his body.
Loren plans to stay sober, to right all of his wrongs. So when someone threatens to expose Lily’s secret to her family and the public, he promises that he’ll do anything to protect her. But with old enemies surfacing, Lo has more at stake than his sobriety.
They will torment Lily until Lo breaks.
And his worst fear isn’t relapsing. He hears the end. He sees it. The one thing that could change everything. Just three words.
No. More. Us.
L-O-V-E is what the Addicted series is to me! And Addicted for Now just reinforced my love for it. It’s funny how much I resisted the new adult genre in the beginning, and now one of my top favorite series is part of it. I know people see that it’s NA and that there’s a sex addict as a main character, but I promise you that this is not a ploy or excuse to include a bunch of sex. Yes, there is sex, but it’s also about working on intimacy without it and the underlying issues. Mostly though, it’s about the love Lo and Lily share, how they are willing to go through hell and back for each other.
Addicted for Now is told in alternating POVs. I was so excited to get Lo’s perspective this time, it was really a great addition. These two … gah! I love them so much. I was beyond excited to have them back together after Lo being away for three months. I love every minute of their journey – all of the ups and downs. I’m so damn happy with the way the author’s are dealing with Lily’s sex addiction; they’re doing a fantastic job. And even though Lo is struggling with his own demons, he is so frigging good to and for Lily. I just want to hug and squeeze them!
What I also love about this series is all of the different relationships. Of course Lily and Lo are the focus, but Rose, Connor, Daisy, and Ryke are very much integrated into the story and add so much to each book. I absolutely love all of the different dynamic shifts and growth. Another relationship that I both love and hate, is the one between Lo and his dad. It’s so dysfunctional, but it’s easy to see he does do things for Lo out of his effed up love. It’s complicated and sad.
This book/series does sound like a lot of drama, huh? It’s so well done though. And the humor, the funny moments, are just as strong. I wouldn’t be able to love it so much if there wasn’t any.
So yes, Addicted for Now is another amazing installment in the Addicted series. Everyone needs to read it! I know I’ve said this before, but please read Ricochet before reading this one. It is book #1.5, but it’s full length and spans the entire three months between the first and second book. It could actually be considered the second book in the series. Read these!

L.O.V.E. your review girl! I knew you would love this book too! It is really well done and a fabulous series in the NA genre… I totally agree! I love all the relationships too. And I agree, Lo’s Dad does things cos it’s the only way he knows how to show that he cares… Awesome review!
I love this series so damn much. I need to read Hothouse Flower next, which I am extremely excited for! Yeah, Lo’s dad is a piece of work. And the scene with his mom broke my heart. 🙁
I have seen this series around but I wasn’t sure if I should give it a shot since I’m not a huge angst reader but the premise is definitely different. Seeing that you love this series, I think I would also have to give this a shot because I may not always like angst but when I end up loving a book that’s filled with it, it’s harder to get over my book hangover. Awesome review Christy! 🙂
The angst isn’t … I don’t know, to me, it isn’t like that annoying kind. And it’s not overly done like so many YA/NA books out there.
Everyone is just raving about this series, I feel like a complete tool because I haven’t picked it up yet! I have to be honest. The sex addiction scares me a bit because it makes me think there will be cheating. Is there cheating of any kind in these books? You say the sex addiction is handled really well, so that gives me hope:)
Nope, no cheating. Lily and Lo have been bffs since they were little kids. They aren’t real boyfriend and girlfriend at the beginning of the first book though. Jenny, you just need to read these! Believe me, if the sex addiction wasn’t handled well and realistically, I would be ranting.
Alright, alright, I will read these, I just have no idea when! I don’t think I can squeeze in all these fabulous reads this summer Christy. How do I choose which ones to read?
You’re making my summer list of books to read difficult for me Christy, shame on you!
Well, these need to be top of the list. 😉
Your love for this series makes me happy, Christie! I have these books, but lack the time-turner necessary to fit everything in! Thanks for the great review!
Holy crap, Andrea … you need to read these. You will kick yourself for waiting. lol. They’re really quick reads too.
If you say you’re addicted to this series, I believe you. You got me all curious now. Awesome review, Christy!
You need to read them, Grace!!
Yeah it really doesn’t sound like a series I’d pick up but I like that you clarify that its not all about sex and has much more too it. Still not sure it’s for me but glad you enjoyed!
I totally get it. 😀
I could probably handle this series as it has lots of humor and you seem to be so in love with it.
lol – You’re not allowed to bitch about it if yu do read it and don’t like it, though. 😀
I’m not huge on drama, but I do admit that I like one well done. Oh I’m glad that there is some substance to this book. Hm… might have to try the series.
It doesn’t feel overly dramatic, and that’s a big part of why I love it so much. There’s A LOT of substance. 🙂
Love this series! And it is hard to explain exactly why it is so great! Great sex but so much more with the friendships and relationships and everything else. As for the leak yeah maybe —— had some evidence or something else she leaked? It was never really explained that well but oh well it is fiction. I also feel like they are a bit more in the media than a soda daughter would be but I guess she is like a Paris Hilton or Kardashian in the Addicted world and they are in the media big time.
Right, but Kim and Paris didn’t get huge until their sex tapes. And they were trying to be famous. Lily wasn’t and even said how no one pays attention to her. Unlike Daisy and Rose, who are already in the media. There are a lot of heiresses out there that no one gives a crap about, unless there is something they can see or hear. I mean, it isn’t a huge deal, but I found it a bit unrealistic. It might’ve got a blurb from gossip bloggers at best, but that’s it.
I love how excited you are about these 🙂 I just read one where the hero and heroine met at a sex addicts anon meeting and yep NA. But it was so tame steam-wise because of their storyline. I was kinda surprised by that. I’ve got these on my list. Man alive how I’m ever gonna tame this beast of a list! lol
I think I know which one you’re talking about, but I’m avoiding it for a number of reasons. I heart this series so damn much, you’ve got to give it a try.
I agree, the whole media thing was not how I think it would have went down in real life. But it was sad to watch.
Lo was such an freaking rock in this book. No way Lily would have made it without him. Swoon!!
Dude, Lo … damn, I love him. And Ryke for being Lo’s rock. God I just love them all!
It’s nice to have a great series like that I agree. I don’t really know about this one but it sounds really good! thanks for the review
It’s not for everyone, but I love it.
My friend is also in love with this series and keeps telling me I should read them. It’s already on my TBR list and from your review it definitely sounds like something I might like. I’ll give it a try soon 🙂
YES! Do it! They’re pretty quick reads.
I love all your reviews from these authors and I keep on telling myself I need to read them (after my massive TBR review pile of course). Lovely review as always, it makes me excited that these are consistently great all the way through.
You need to ditch the tbr and slip these in. 😀
You used gifs. Ok, ok I will got get book one!
lol – You must’ve missed my Love, In English review. 😀
I don’t know…I’m having anxiety attacks just thinking about how they could overcome each of their addictions. And the promise of angst. It’s got me worrying even though I don’t know Lo and Lily from Adam.
You make these books sound so good, though!
What do you mean? They aren’t trying to overcome their addictions alone. They have outside help and it’s done very well. Believe me, if I didn’t think the addictions were being handled in a healthy way, I wouldn’t be able to stand behind this series. Lily may be a bit angsty, but it’s too is done well. If fact it’s kind of funny a lot of the time.
I’ve got books #1, #1.5 and #2 but haven’t had the time to read them yet. I will, promise !
I have the first book sitting on my kindle staring at me. I know that I’ll love it, I just have to find the time to read it, LOL. And it is always good to know that despite the sex, there is definitely more going on here. Great review, Christy!
