Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas out there!
This week has been full of highs and lows, and I just don’t feel like blogging all that much. Especially when it comes to writing reviews. Blah. At least the weather is nice so I can sit out in the sun and work on stuff. It’s already supposed to get in the 100s next week, though. Yikes.
Also, I just want to let you all know that if I die anytime soon, it’ll most likely be because of my son’s driving. Worst. Driver. Ever.
On the Blog
- Ricochet by Krista & Becca Ritchie – Review. I can’t get enough of this series!
- Pulled Under by Michelle Dalton – Review. I was surprisingly impressed.
- Twisted by Emma Chase – Review. Still love my Drew & Kate!

Have a great week!
Are you sure you’re not making your son nervous? (“Where’s that freakin’ right-side brake?!?!?! I know I had it installed over here!!!!!”) Well, it was nice knowing you anyways…..
I think we’re ordering Dalton’s two books, Sixteenth & Seventeenth Summer, if we can. My girl is looking for Pulled Under, too π You Rock!!!
Happy Mother’s Day and RIP…
I just looked, there is no Seventeenth Summer but I swear when we were looking in her buying system it was there. I wonder if that was what they were calling Pulled Under??? Hmmmmm…
I don’t know, it’s confusing. The characters are 16, so Seventeenth Summer wouldn’t make sense. In the blurb it says: “in the tradition of Sixteenth Summer and Seventeenth Summer.” The only 3 books by that author are Fifteenth Summer, Sixteenth Summer, and Pulled Under, which says is “A Sixteenth Summer” book. None of them are connected character or setting wise. So, I have no freaking clue.
No, I swear heβs just β¦ not good. I donβt know if itβs his ADD or what, but β¦ ugh. Iβm not even joking, we wouldβve been hit so many times if I hadnβt said something.
Yay! Push those books to girls as young as 12-13 if they read at that level. Seriously, that is the type of stuff they should be reading, so many different healthy relationships.
Happy Mother’s day to you! I hope next week is a better one for you and your son’s driving improves. Nice haul this week too.
Cheers,
Sharon
Thanks Sharon. I sure hope it improves too. π
Happy Mother’s day and don’t get in that car !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol !
I hope next week will be nicer and quieter, enjoy π
Thanks! And believe me, I don’t want to. π
OMG, that cover of Alpha just got me a little hot. LOL. I want it! Happy Mother’s Day.
I know, right? π
Happy Mother’s Day Christy! I’m not going to get started on driving yet… even though I’m 16!
I think my mom’s scared, with good reason! Hashtag clumsy π
Thanks! lol – My son will be 17 in August. He has his permit now, so he’s trying to get his hours in before his test in July. Not fun. π
Ahh, I love Partials trilogy. So lucky to have them signed! The 5th Wave is awesome, too.
Hope the next week is full of more ups than downs for you. π
Thanks Renu. I love Partials too, but still need to read the 3rd book.
Ouch! I really hope your son gets better at driving. That’s why I won’t get a licence yet, I’ll leave that throne to him π Anyhow you’ve got some amazing book sand I really hope you’ll enjoy them. Great post π
Haha – yeah, I sure hope so too. π
I really need to read Partials – it seems like an exciting trilogy. Lucky you won it! π Happy reading and I hope your reviewing slump fades away soon!
Thanks Sofia, I do too.
Nice book haul, I’ll have to check out Help for the Haunted-love the cover of that one!
It sounds like it might be interesting.
You’re braver than my mother was for even getting in the car as she refused until I had my full licence for a year or two.
lol – Well, he’s required to drive a certain amount of hours with his permit before getting his license in July, so … I kind of have to.
Some nice books to you, I hope you’ll enjoy them all and I’m curious to see what you think of them. You know it’s funny to see that in France Mother’s day isn’t at the same date, for us it’s on the 25th. Happy reading!
Well then, May should just be Happy Mother’s Month, an international holiday. π
Happy Mother’s Day. If you keep you eyes closed you won’t see it coming. lol… I spent majority of the time with mine closed when my daughter. π Enjoy the new books.
Ha! If my eyes were closed we’d be pancakes by now. Not exaggerating.
Partials is one of the many books sitting on my tbr shelves in my house, waiting for me to get round to it. I just have too many great sounding books to get to! Enjoy your reads!
I really like the series, but I still need to read the 3rd book.
My daughter is 16 1/2 and still hasn’t taken the test. She never wants to drive. What 16yo doesn’t want to drive?! She’s a good driver, but we’re going to work on her hours behind the wheel this summer. If she wants to get a job then she needs her own license. lol My son, on the other hand, will be 15 next month. Which means at 15 1/2 he can get a learner’s permit. He’s the one that scares me and he’s not even behind the wheel yet. LOL Have a wonderful week and *fingers crossed* you do not perish anytime soon.
I wish my son didn’t. He’ll be 17 in August and I tried putting it off as long as I could. He has his permit right now. Ugh.
Happy Mother’s Day!
I can’t say that I’ve been feeling much like doing any blogging or reviewing this week either.
Have a great week and I hope you survive your son’s driving!
lol – Thanks Yvonne!
Happy Mother’s Day! And hope your son improves his driving skills soon! π
lol – Me too! And thanks. π
Thank god you’re still alive then! Maybe your son has dreams of being a Nascar driver… π
LOL – Actually, he wants to do Baja Racing.
Your comment about your son’s driving made me laugh. My daughter just got her license. I’m trying not to think about it! Looks like you got some good books this week. Hope your week is smoother!
-sigh- I wish I didn’t have to think about it while I’m in the car with him. lol.
Sounds like my week but I didn’t have the driving son. He’ll get better, really! Now, grab a book and read outside before it’s too gross to do so. π Happy Mother’s Day!
Haha – I can only hope that he does. Thanks Bea!
happy Mother’s Day. It is always nice to get a series signed by the author. Enjoy your new books.
Thanks Grace! π
Your update made me laugh! I dread when my kids are old enough to drive.
You got some great books. I really enjoyed Partials, and still need to read No Attachments.
I hope you enjoy your day!
Well I hope they are good drivers when they do start! π
Happy Mother’s Day!
Lol well I bet that’s how my husband feels right now trying to teach me how to drive since he yanked me out of the city and threw me to the boondocks D:
Thanks Lily. Haha – good luck with your driving!
LOL! Worst ever huh? He can only get better then..right? Right?
Happy Mother’s Day! It was a bit hot around here too today…ugh, I just want the pool to be open! lol That’s the only way I can handle the summertime.
Happy Mother’s Day Christy… nice to see you have no faith in your son! lol
You’ve picked up some nice reads! Enjoy!
Here’s My Weekly Wrap-Up!
Naomi @ Nomiβs Paranormal Palace
Sounds like you have yourself a really great haul this week! I also have to commend you for at least getting in the same car as your son so he can practice driving. my mother won’t get in the same car as me until …well i don’t know until when. LOL
Lily
I’m on a review-writing slump too π Here’s to wishing we get out of this slump soon!
Oh and I’m off to read your review of Twisted by Emma Chase! π
Have a great week π
my sunday post: http://wp.me/p3v5T1-pM
Belated Happy Mother’s Day to you, Christy. <3 I hope you got pampered. π
happy reading!
The 5th Wave is great! And YAY on your winnings! Happy (late) Mothers Day!
I know I am having a hard time staying super enthusiastic about the blog, but I am plodding along. Worst driver ever? Really? I hope you don’t die! Hope you also had a happy Mother’s Day.
“Also, I just want to let you all know that if I die anytime soon, itβll most likely be because of my sonβs driving. Worst. Driver. Ever.” That made me giggle! I hope you had a good mother’s day, and that your son didn’t drive you anywhere. π
Can’t wait to hear what you think of the Partials books!
I hope you are still alive Christy! I’m jealous of the an entire of series of signed books!
lol – Still here!
The weather here is awful, really cold and rainy this week and no way I can sit outside. Arrgh, children and drivingβ¦ I am the worst passenger and would rather walk than to drive with someone else (my dad is fine!) . Son No 1 is doing h is licence at the moment, but hubby doesn’t drive, so I have the monopoly over our car!
Happy Mothers Day, Christy!!! Hope you had a lovely day and that your son will improve his driving very soon :)) Enjoy all your reads! It’s heating up quickly here too…
100s is a little too warm for me as there is a limit to the amount of clothes you can decently take off in public π
