The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
This week has been all over the place. People and situations were pissing me off, which makes me antsy with energy that needs to be released. When I get like that, it’s hard to focus, much less read. So yeah, it wasn’t a very zen week. π
I’m taking part in the Take Control of your TBR event this month, and I’ve eliminated 3. However, I’ve added more than that, so I don’t know if I’m winning or losing. π

He’s Come Undone by Theresa Weir – For review, but it’s available for $0.99 right now.

These are the books I purchased. They were free or $0.99 at the time of putting this post together.
Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers – Purchased. I already read and reviewed this – it was so good! But I saw that it’s only $1.99 as part of Amazon’s Monthly Deals, so I had to grab it.

Have a great week!
I hope this week is better for you and congrats on getting 3 books read for the TBR challenge!
Thanks, Bea! π
Now see when I get stressed or pissed off escaping to books really helps me. Listening to 14 hrs of Murder of Crows truly kept me sane this week. Loving your haul and if you need me take someone out..just let me know I got your six!
lol! Yes, how fast can you be here? It depends on what kind of stressed I am. If it’s just regular, then reading helps. But if it’s the type caused by assholes that make me want to do bad things, then reading is a no go. π
Hope you get a better week this time, Christy! Seems like we are on the same Charlie right now :)Book husband, eh? Love this! Enjoy all your reads, sweetheart!
Thanks! I hope to read the 5th Charley Davidson book soon since the 6th comes out in May. Haha – oh yeah, I have myself a book hubby. π
Well I hope this week is better, and I hope you like Grave Mercy! I read it a while ago, but I remember it being pretty good π
I already read it and loved it, but got it because it was a deal. I can’t wait to read the 3rd book.
I think you should take up running with your son! That’ll take some frustration out of you, that’s for sure – bwahahahahahaha!
Thanks for telling “us” about Grave Mercy! I might just go pick that up b/c I still haven’t started that series and it’s one I’ve been dying to read π
And I had no clue there was a winning aspect to this challenge??? You mean I’m supposed to actually lose books to be read??? Blasphemy, you speak!!
Pfft .. yeah, right. That kid is a freak. He’d have 3 miles down before I have my first. I’m more the type that needs to beat on a punching bag.
Yes, you need to read GM. The 3rd book is coming out soon, so get on it.
There’s a winning aspect to everything. Winning! – Charley Sheen π
I hate having a week where you just can’t chill out enough to read. This was a winter of serious discontent and lack of reading! Things have improved the last couple of weeks and I’m back into my reading. Hope things look up for you too.
I hate the antsy stressed feeling, but thankfully I don’t get that way often. Glad you’ve been able to get back into reading, though!
LOL @ Kim. I think she is serious. π
Books are my way to escape and destress as well, well, unless the book is super stressful LOL!
Congrats on all the books!!
LOL – I’m just glad she’s on my side.
I like to read to destress, but I can’t when my blood is boiling. I need a punching bag instead. π
Such is the life of a book hoarder, Christy. You read some and then you acquire more. Sigh. Anyway, I hope your week will be better.
Good luck on the TbR clean up!
Thanks, Joy. lol – yeah, at least I don’t feel as guilty when buying the since I’m actually reading some too.
Sorry you had a rough week ;/ hope it turns around for you! on the bright side, awesome new books additions!
Thanks, Lily!
I really want to read Grave Mercy! I’ve hear great things! Enjoy your book! My STS: http://www.thecovercontessa.com/2014/03/stacking-shelves-10.html
It’s a great book! The 3rd one is coming out soon, so I’m excited.
Aw I hope this next week goes a bit better for ya Christy! Frustrating having that feeling.
And oo I grabbed a couple of those books this week too!
I ve been sick all week coughing and hacking so not a zen week for me either, I hope you loved Cress, I was tempted to get that take my breath away book but I am trying to control my intake so I passed, I still need to read book two of grave mercy, the third book is up on edelweiss but I think it is Penguin and they never approve me, trying though.
Sorry about the bad week, but it’s the start of a new one so I hope things get better! That’s great you got some TBR books read.
I’m sorry about the bad week…I’ve had a few days where I just wanted to deck people in the face. That’s usually when I read the most, lol. I’ve only gotten through 2 books for the TBR challenge, but one was A Game of Thrones so I’m counting that as like 3 by itself. ;P
I’m still contemplating as to whether or not I’ll get Grave Mercy, I don’t read YA much lately but as I’m a hoarder & the deal is great, I’m leaning towards getting it
You should! Honestly, just get the idea that it’s YA out of your head, because it doesn’t at all feel like the typical YA. At all.
The Christie Ridgway book looks really good. I’m sorry this wasn’t such a good week for you, but I hope next week is better!
Good on you for completing 3 books already for the challenge! Challenges are great to keep you motivated and on track.
Ooh Grave Mercy! I really want to re-read that. It sucks that last week wasn’t very zen, I totally have trouble reading when life intervenes too. Hopefully this coming week will be better! π
