October is over, and that means I am officially depressed. I hate cooler weather but like October, so now it’s officially blah time since October is over. I want it to be May already!
My computer finally came, so I didn’t get much reading done because I’ve been playing with it. Windows 8 is … interesting. Thank goodness for Youtube tutorials.
On the blog
- The Outside by Laura Bickle – Review. Loved this sequel to The Hallowed Ones!
Books read
The Distance Between Us by Kasie West
Books received
Servants of the Storm by Delilah S. Dawson – For review. I actually forgot to add this to last weeks SP.
Things I Can’t Forget by Miranda Kenneally – Purchased. I might be addicted to this series.
What I’m listening to
———————————————–
Hope you all had a great week!
The hubby is getting me a new laptop for Christmas, I am not sure about the whole Windows 8 thing…
Like you I am not looking forward to the cold. I like snow, it looks pretty but the colder temps cause my arthritis to ache and my joints to lock up. I will be under the covers till May π
It’s not bad once you get the hang of it. I mainly use the desktop setting and programs since it’s like previous version, and stay away from the apps. Definitely watch some tutorials first.
I am with you on the cooler weather. Even though I love the holidays, I truly hate the cold.
So glad your computer finally made it there! I do’t have Windows 8 but I have heard a lot about it and tried it out in the store the other day, it is..interesting. I hope you get the hang of it!
It isn’t so bad once you get the hang of it, but it definitely feels different at first. Down with cold weather!!
Yay for new computers! I’ve only used Windows 8 a few times and it took forever for me to find the start menu, lol.
I can’t wait to see what you thought of The Distance Between Us. I have it on my kindle and have been wanting to read it. I loved Pivot Point. Have an awesome week!
Oh it was so good! I love her writing so much.
I’m not looking forward to winter although I like dressing in layers and snuggling under the covers. I’m dreading the day I have to deal with Windows 8; I haven’t heard anything positive about it. π
Now, go do some fun reading! π
Windows 8 really isn’t bad once you adjust and learn how it works. I use the setting that are more like the old system anyway.
Awe, I love the cooler weather but my husband hates it. Our heat has been on for 2 weeks already and I am dying. He doesn’t quite understand I have hot flashes. lol I can’t wait for Servants of the Storm. I think it is going to be so good. Happy reading. π

Lol – yeah. My son likes it cool and I like it hot. I’d have the house temp up at 90 if it was just me. π
Oh I think I might have Things I Can’t Forget, I need to read it! The other book looks really interesting too!
The whole Hundred Oaks series is great. I haven’t finished Things I Can’t Forget because of time, but I’m really liking it a lot.
Yay for new computers Christy! You’ll have to update me on how you like windows 8. My laptop is on its last leg, so I am thinking about getting a new desktop for christmas but I am on the fence about windows 8. What I really want is to get a new computer with windows 7, but I don’t know if they make them anymore.
I am dying to read miranda’s series too! I still have the first one in my TBR (man, it feels like I say that about everything)
Happy Reading!
