The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Ugh, I’m so damn tired of not feeling good! I’m better than I was, but still blah-ish. I’ve had to reschedule a lot of off the blog stuff this month because of it. It’s a great week for TV, though. American Horror Story: Coven started, and boy, is it good! Eek, and The Walking Dead starts tonight! Also, I know Supernatural started, but I’m still behind. 🙁 Not to mention The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. I can’t keep up! Do you watch any of these?
There’s still a lot of great blog events taking place this month, so check my right sidebar. →
On the blog
- Time After Time by Tamara Ireland Stone – Review. Oh, how I loved it!
- Wonderfully Wicked Read-A-Thon – My start/goals. It runs until the 20th, so you can still sign-up.
Books

Crash Into You by Katie McGarry – For review. Eeek! Need I say more?
Pawn by Aimee Carter – For review. I’m very curious about this one.
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year by Marie Landry – For review. I hope to read this novella soon.

Nil by Lynne Matson – For review. My mouse hovered over this one for a long time while I tried to decide whether I wanted to read it or not. My curiosity got the better of me.
Finders Keepers by Nicole Williams – Purchased. I knew while reading the 2nd book that these two would get their own. Can’t wait to read it.
Prodigal Son by Debra Mullins – A surprise from Tor Publishing. It sounds interesting!
Holidays Are Hell – I’ve already read this, but I gave my physical copy away awhile go. So I snagged this for my kindle since it’s only $1.99 right now. I mainly have it because it has a story from The Hollows series by Kim Harrison. It’s a must read for any fan of the series or for anyone planning to read it.
What I’m listening to

Hope you all had a great week!
There are some excellent shows on TV this fall. I’ve been enjoying Sleepy Hollow, Supernatural, Witches of East End, Once Upon A Time among others.
I hope you start feeling better soon!
Congrats on the new additions!!
I watch Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and have started watching The Originals (really good actually!) as well. I am behind on Supernatural (still trying to finish up Season 8 but almost there!!). So many great new shows out this season. I really want to catch Dracula when it starts up, have you seen the previews for it yet? It looks so good!
I JUST did saw a short promo for the 1st time while watching SNL. I’ll have to investigate!
Eeekk was my reaction when I got Crash into You as well, so excited to read it! Homeland is my show of choice at the moment, love it!
Hope you feel better soon and happy reading.

Fringe does look like it would be good. I’ve been watch Sleepy Hollow, but I’m not feeling a strong connection to it.
Nice haul of books. I see that you also got Prodigal Son as well. I just finished reading that book last night and it was awesome. Great haul of books. Come visit me too.

It’s too bad you’re still feeling a bit under the weather. I hope you’ll feel like yourself soon. I don’t watch much tv, actually. I’ve been trying to watch The Walking Dead on DVD, however. I think I still have a disc left of the second season.
Anyway, these books look wonderful, Christy. I just finished Crash into You and am looking forward to reading Pawn. I’m interested to see what you think of Prodigal Son.
Have a lovely week, Christy!
nice list – I’ve not gotten into walking dead – but am watching Vampire Diaries, only seen the previews for Originals – but I may give it a shot
~gaele @ iam-indeed Enjoy your week!
I just finished the last season on Netflix for Vampire Diaries, so now I can watch the season that is on now. I am so far behind with The Walking Dead. I do like The Originals though. Mmmm, Klaus! Oh, and Elijah too. 😉 Hope you enjoy the new books. Feel better!
Thanks for stopping by.

I don’t watch tv anymore… pathetic, I know. I watch sports: Tigers are in the playoffs and Red Wings hockey (I live with two guys, can’t be helped) and I went to Ohio State. But any free moment I have, I’m reading or blogging. I’m just so freakishly busy between working 20 hrs a week at the library or homeschooling the grommet.
I’d like to watch TV!! I’d watch Supernatural, Dracula, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad re-runs, and holy crap… Almost Human has what’s-his-nuts in it… ugh, I can’t think his name right now. But he’s HOT as HELL!!!
Annnyyyyhoooo… I sure wish you’d feel better. You’ve probably done this already but have they checked your gall bladder yet?
Lol. I rarely watch a show when it originally airs. I am going to try my damnedest for AHS: Coven and The Walking Dead, though. But ohhhh … after watching the promo for Dracula last night I need to watch that.
Ahh thanks. I had/have walking pneumonia, so I just have lingering stuff from it.
O-EM-GEE so many awesome books Christy! Pawn, Finders Keepers, and Crash into you! You are going to be a very happy reader. Hopefully they will help you finally kick this cold.
As far as tv goes, after an epic catch up marathon last week, I am finally up to date on Vampire Diaries, but I have yet to watch the latest episode of The Originals. I used to absolutely love VD, but last season I started to get tired of them always killing off characters and bringing them back. It started to make me sad. I’m currently catching up on pretty little liars, but I’m still only on season 2.

My Sunday Post
I totally agree about VD. It still makes me cry, though. But I’m excited for The Originals. I dropped Pretty Little Liars sometime during the 2nd season, but kind of want to go back and watch them.
I loved Pawn. Aimee Carter created a nice plot and this first book made a great introduction to this series, read it NOW.
I watched The Originals and it looks better than Vampire Diaries for me, so you should try. Happy Reading!
Oh, now I’m excited for Pawn. I watched the 1st ep of The Originals, but haven’t watched the 2nd yet. I really like it, though.
I only have Netflix streaming, so I don’t watch any of those shows. However, Bones Season 8 just became available so we’ve been gobbling the episodes up. lol
I haven’t watched Bones, but I heard it’s pretty good. Maybe one day I can go watch it from the beginning.
Pawn looks really good, but I am trying to avoid galleys. since I keep getting them in the mail..LOL Feel better!
As much as I enjoy receiving books in the mail, I like having control over what I get and prefer electronic.
I do too to be honest, but as an Addict, I am enjoying the boxes, but after I will be auto approved for edelweiss, so woot! I am booked solid until mid January, and try not to look unless I want something specific for myself.
I’m enjoying American Horror Story: Coven so far. Good start to the new season. I forgot that The Walking Dead starts tonight. Fortunately, my TiVo didn’t forget 🙂
Have a great week!
Pawn looks great and really like that cover for some reason. Nil looks interesting too, have to look into that one…
Sounds like you need a kick in the arse! I know how awful walking pneumonia is. It took me two months to get over it and then I got strep. I hope you are back to your ornery self soon!
I’m still holding off on the new Harlequin titles…I have enough to review as it is. I’m so glad The Walking Dead is back on, because Sunday tv was incredibly boring without it.
Congrats on the amazing haul, Christy!!
Crash Into You!! Yay! Can’t wait to hear what you think of it. Happy reading 🙂
