The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I finally gave in and went to the doctor, turns out I have walking pneumonia. Good times. I feel a little better, but still pretty weak and get really exhausted and sore from coughing up all the gunk in my lungs. There’s soooo much of it! Lovely, huh? Breathing is so overrated, anyway. 😉
On the blog
- The Most Wonderful Time of the Year by Marie Landry – Cover reveal & giveaway (still open).
- Something Wicked Blog Hop – Giveaway. Win a $10 gift card or book of your choice (open all month).
Books
The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison – For review. This is the 12th book in The Hollows series and I can’t wait to read it. I literally had a coughing fit because I was so excited when I saw it on Edelweiss and could barely hit the download button. I love this cover so damn much! I got all weepy & sentimental when Kim 1st revealed it.

Far From You by Tess Sharpe – For review. No cover yet, but it sounds good!
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman – For review. I wasn’t going to get this one at first, but it sounded more and more appealing the more I thought about it.
Run the Risk by Lori Foster – Kimberly sent me this because she thought it was time I read my first LF book. Plus, what better way to help me feel better than with a smexy guy. 😉
October Challenge
I signed up for the 3rd annual Spooktacular Paranormal Reading Challenge this month.
You can still sign up! I’ve read a few books already, but need to post the reviews. A couple of the books I still have to read are A Darkness Strange and Lovely and Controlling the Dead (if it’s ever published). I haven’t decided on any others yet.
What I’m listening to
Seize the Day – Avenged Sevenfold always makes me feel better.

Hope you all had a good week!
Aaaw, that was nice of Kimberley. 🙂 I’m sorry too hear about the walking pneumonia though; I hope the meds kick in and you’re feeling better soon.
I do hope you are feeling better soon, I know exactly what that is like, take care of yourself and I hope you are enjoying LF, although I would have trouble not opening KH’s book!
Everybody seems to have gotten Far From You this week. And yeesh. Pneumonia? That sounds awful – walking or not. Feel better, Christy!
Ooh, I’m curious to see what you think of Far From You. It sounds fab! Happy reading. 🙂
Now you have perfect excuse for being lazy and reading whole day long! I hope you’ll get well soon.

Thanks! I wish I felt like reading more. 😀
I hope you start getting stronger soon. Pneumonia is nasty and it takes forever to go away. Here’s my Sunday Post
I really liked Dead Witch Walking but in the next couple of books I got bored with Ivy’s blood lust issues and stopped reading. Shame coz I liked the characters a lot.
Aw that’s too bad because they’ve both come a long way since those first books.
I saw These Broken Stars – the cover is lovely – but I already had too many pretties. *sigh* Now I’m rethinking it.
Enjoy your Lori Foster – the first one I read was fun!
~gaele @ I am, Indeed.
Awesome haul of books. These Broken Stars has a lovely cover. Not to mention Far From You sounds very good. Lori Foster does indeed have sexy guys on the covers of her books.
I hope you get feeling better, having pneumonia is the worst. Enjoy the new books.
Thanks for stopping by, 🙂
I REALLY need to get caught up with the Hollows books…I read 4 or 5 of them before I started blogging and keep forgetting to go back to the series, even though I LOVED it. When I saw The Undead Pool on Edelweiss the other day I was like ‘how fast can I read the other books and get caught up so I could request this one?’ but then realized that was crazy lol. I hope you love it! 🙂
lol – Kim Harrison is doing a read-along for all of the books leading up to this one and each book will only be $1.99 as they read that specific book. You should do it! I’ve contemplated re-reading them.
I have seriously got to get caught up on The Hollows books! Glad you’re on the mend!
i’ve heard so many awesome things about these broken stars. i have it on my kindle but i haven’t had the chance to read it yet. you have some great books there–happy reading!! 🙂

I am so behind on the Hollows it isn’t even funny but I saw it on Edelweiss and knew you would be excited! I can’t wait to see how it is. 🙂

damn it! Why didn’t you tell me the Undead Pool was on Edelweiss? I hope to god I can get it. I just finished EVer AFter on audio two weeks ago. Sorry about the walking pnemonia, I had that two years ago and it took me months to get my immune system back on track. I have had three colds now since September so I feel your pain.
Aw, so sorry you’re sick. I’ve had walking pneumonia and it really takes quite a while to feel better. Get lots of rest!
