Landon Grace is a stand-up guy, but running about 7-bananas-strong, from tequila shots at Oscar and Hale's wedding reception, what happened between him and Sher Simmons was supposed to be a one time thing. A quickie, between the Best Man and Maid of Honor, at their best friends' wedding.
But some one-night-stands refuse to be finished in one night.
Especially when they return with a hard shot of morning sickness.
Now, Landon is faced with a problem he never thought he'd have to consider...
Just how much sway does a guy really have, regarding a woman's choice to pursue or terminate the pregnancy of his child?
I loved Oscar and Hale’s story in Hale Maree, so I was excited when Misty announced there would be a companion novel. Then add the fact that it’s about Landon and Sher makes me a happy camper. I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Misty so far, and Full of Grace is no exception.
You really don’t need to read Hale Maree before reading this, but it’s nice to do so. Full of Grace picks up where Hale Maree left off, except now we’re getting Landon’s POV. Landon and Sher have a one night stand at a wedding, but it doesn’t end there. That one night is life changing. Sher becomes pregnant but doesn’t think she’s ready to have a baby and end up just like her mom. Landon, on the other hand, wants to give it a chance. To give them a chance.
I love Landon and being in his head; he’s calm, funny, and truly a good man. I was cracking up even when he got in his obsessed “stalker” modes or his damn pant stealing scheme. Poor guy, though, I thought Sher was going to give him an ulcer at times. I adored Oscar in Hale Maree, but Landon is now my #1 guy out of the two. Sorry, Oscar, your boy showed you up.
Even though we only got a small glimpse of Sher in Hale Maree, I liked her. Then at the beginning of Full of Grace she was driving me crazy with the giggling and I wondered if I was going to be able to put up with it. But it actually turned out to be really funny, especially getting Landon’s different reactions to it. Sher is a little spitfire, though, and I loved it. I honestly wasn’t expecting her to be so feisty, which was a pleasant surprise. I really like how she and Landon balanced each other out perfectly.
The secondary characters were great, too. I was happy that we saw Oscar and Hale and got a tiny glimpse into how life is going for them. And Sher’s mom with a bb gun …. priceless. Another character I really liked was Gina, Landon’s lesbian sister. I’m crossing my fingers that Misty with give us a book featuring Gina’s story. It could be a companion novel to this companion novel. 🙂 Seriously, though, Misty keeps giving us such great characters, that I wish she would continue on with a series that features a new couple even book.
Full of Grace covered a serious topic and was sad at times, but overall, it was a really fun read. Between all the banter, sexy time, and sweet moments, it was just all around entertaining. You must read both of these books. Must!
Awesome posting. I loved Gina too. I loved Landon asking for her advice and her responses:D

Thanks for this opportunity. I'[m looking forward to ready Misty’s books.

I hope you’ll give me a shot, Carol, and come back to let me know what you think! Thanks for considering the stories!
I am so sad I missed this tour some how but happy that you loved it every bit as much as you loved Hale Maree! Great review as always Christy!!
I would love to have you along on any of my tours, any time you can squeeze me in, my girl! I’ll try to catch you next time for sure!
You rock! 😉
This does sounds good, and I am definitely going to have to check out the first book. Great review. 🙂

Thank you Books Live Forever! I hope you will give them a try and let me know what you think! I’d love to hear from you!
*cries* Kristin already got me to buy the dang thing, now you make me want to take the time out to read it right NOW? In the middle of the ARC challenge? I love that it’s from Landon’s POV so much – um, pant stealing scene? I wouldn’t mind if Sher stole his pants if he looks like the guy on the cover. 😉
Awesome review – you make me want to read every word Misty writes and when I do, I love them.
What an awesome compliment you gave me, Barbara! THANK YOU. I hope that you will enjoy Landon and that you get your eyes on him soon! He’ll be waiting for you!
Do it! Read it! It’s a quick read, even for me.
I can’t wait to read this series! Lovely review and thanks so much for the awesome giveaways!!
Thank you, Michele! I hope you will let me know if you do decide to read- I’d love to hear what you think! Thanks again for considering the stories!
Oh, you will love it, Michele.
And Christy, my lovely girl…thank you so much for such a fun review!! I loved it! And your blog is always such an exciting stop, with all the interaction- I LOVE THAT! Thanks again so much for having me, for reading and reviewing- I LOVES YOU!!
Anytime, Misty. I’ve been so sick lately that I don’t feel like I did the book justice in the review. Seriously, though, you should make this a series like Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry. Each book feature a new couple, but at least one was introduced in the previous book(s). Pleeeeease! 😀
I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been sick. I hope you are on the mend now?
BTW, I think it’s a wonderful review, Christy! I see no problem with it at all!
And I love the idea and will think on it! I’ve got some other books in my bag to get out first, but I love the idea!
I wrote my review a few days ago and I said many of the things you did. I also want her to do a spinoff with Gina and Lisa, the gun toting mom, was pretty darn funny. Another winner by Ms. Provencher!
You are so SWEET, Heidi!
Great review Christy but I’m hoping this has a HEA. It reminds me of the movie Knocked Up, which I enjoyed. So if things end well in this, then I might read it. Honestly couldn’t if I discovered she goes ahead with the abortion.
I know a couple people mentioned Knocked Up, which is a huge compliment, and I guess folks see a similarity because of the unexpected pregnancy and the hesitance of the couple to be together. The characters and situations are different – it’s not a repeat of that story – and Suzanne…I’m all about peace and love. No worries!
Don’t worry, it’s safe to read. 🙂
That’s good to know. Thanks for lettiing me know Misty and Christy 🙂
Oh I’m so glad you loved this one! I’m dying to read it but there’s no way I can fit it in just yet. I’m drowning in books. But I hope to read it soon and you have me even more excited to read it!
I can’t wait for you to read, Candace. Landon will be there when your dance card thins out!
Fan-frick-tastic review. I bought book one and need to read these asap
I love your review b/c I read this a while back and I got to live the story again 🙂 I think it demands a re-read (hmmmmm)
