Sunday Post #30 (3/24/13)

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Ah! I forgot to put this post together earlier, so I’m rushing last minute. My son had a track meet that didn’t end until 10:30 last night (Friday), then had to volunteer at a marathon early this morning, then we went to the lake. Now he went to a bonfire with friends. Oh how I miss having all of that young energy! I ask him “Aren’t you tired?” He says “I’ll sleep on Sunday.” Pfft! Whatever, kid. I’m just glad Spring Break is this week.

So far, I’ve read 4 out of the 9 books I wanted to read for the TBR Challenge. Yeah, don’t think I’m going to meet my goal. But at least I knocked some of them out.

Oh yeah, and I joined Bloglovin’ and totally love it! I hated the feel of Google Reader, so I’m kind of excited about it. If you haven’t already, check it out!

Last Week On The Blog

  • The Boys of Summer by C.J. Duggan – Review & Giveaway. I can’t believe how much I loved this damn book! Hardcore love!
  • Mercy, A Gargoyle Story by Misty Provencher – Review. Wow, a book you definitely have to experience for yourself.

  • The End Games by T. Michael Martin – For review. I initially passed on this one, but changed my mind about an hour ago and downloaded it. I really hope it doesn’t disappoint.
  • The Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White – For review. I’m kind of excited for this one!
  • MILA 2.0: Origins: The Fire by Debra Driza – Downloaded for free. This is the novella prequel for MILA 2.0. Figured I should read it.

How was your week?

Lots of people are loving BlogLovin’. ๐Ÿ™‚ I often look at the kids in my classes and wish I had their energy. Sigh.

You’re read almost 50& of your goal and there’s still a week to go so that’s not too bad. I’m not going to make my goal but I’m making progress so it’s good.

  2. Ehh novellas just don’t do it for me, I just don’t really like them. I grabbed The End games because it sounds spectacular and creepy. I think it would be a great read to highlight for Apocalypse. I am all signed up for BlogLovin but I am having a problem with my feed. They fixed it Friday but now it isn’t updating again. another message into them. UGh. Why can’t everything be simple?

  3. I’m doing okay on the challenge…though I’ve strayed from my original list. I think I have an aversion to book lists, I can never stick to them. I’m really looking forward to The End Games so I’m hoping you enjoy it!

  4. I meant to visit you yesterday and then my whole day blew up, kind of like your weekend!!! Hey, bottle some of your boy’s energy and send it my way!!! While you’re at it, get me some sunshine and dry heat – chop, chop!! (bwahahaha, I crack myself up today!)

I’m going to go check out this Bloglovin’ thing tonight. It’s all over the place now that Reader is kaput! Geeky mentioned Feedly (or is it Feedy?), too, so I’m looking at both :S

    Have a great week!!!

Hey, great job on the TBR! Don’t be down on yourself – at least you killed some!! That’s better than most of us!! And you’re being real good with requesting, I’d say. I’m not requesting at all til I get my act together. Okay, I may go get one tonight but that’s it!!!
