Sunday Post #27 (3/3/13)

Posted March 2, 2013 | 25 Comments

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I’m alive! I woke up Monday morning extremely sick and spent 3 1/2 days in bed. It sucked! It’s all my brother’s fault. He’s been told not to come over or near us if he’s sick. Does he listen? No. He’s a jackass and thinks it’s funny. I still have some lingering sickness, but at least I’m coherent. πŸ˜€

The Fire & Ice hop is over! I emailed all the winners for the giveaways that are closed. There are still a few giveaways open, so make sure to enter them if you haven’t yet. They’re all on the sidebar.

Last Week on the Blog

  • The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson – I’ve wanted to read this and it was on sale for $2.99
  • The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa – For review. Actually got this last week but forgot to add it in the SP so I’m adding it now
  • The Camp by Karice Bolton – Purchased. It was just released!
  • JAMB by Misty Provencher – The 3rd in the Cornerstone series was just released too! You can download the 1st book for FREE.

How was your week?

  1. I’m glad you’re alive and feeling a bit better! Yay for the Eternity Cure! I really need to buckle down so I can get started on it.
I hope you recover fully and that you have a wonderful week Christy.

  2. Great haul. I got The Eternity Cure last week and can’t wait to start reading. Love Julie Kagawa. I wanted to grab The Name of the Star, but it wasn’t on sale in Australia πŸ™ Thanks for sharing & happy reading.

  3. I’m still not sure if I’m going to read The Eternity Cure. I enjoyed book 1, but I had a rocky relationship with the mc. Curious to see what you think of it, though.

    Happy Sunday! πŸ™‚

  4. I’m so glad you’re feeling better now! No better word for your bro… ass covers it!!! UGH!!! How old is he??? πŸ™‚

I got Kagawa’s book, too, mostly b/c I wasn’t as enamored with the first one as everyone else but the ending was great! I want to see if the slowness of the first was just world building and if her creator is more in the second one. I like him alot.

I DID run and buy JAMB! Misty appreciated it! I’m on the tour, too πŸ˜‰ Thanks a ton for tweeting me about it; I owe you!!!!

Sorry I’m not around as much as I should be. I’m still balancing working, making hubs happy and blogging. Hubs seems a wee bit jealous of blogging right now o.O Feel 100% soon!!!

  5. It sounds like your brother needs a good swift kick in the arse. I am glad you are feeling better. I missed you while you were sick. Some great books up there. I just got my copy of JAMB this morning. Looking forward to it.
