This weeks question: What are some of your favorite romantic movies?
I never remember stuff when I’m asked these kind of questions. So I’m sure I’ll forget some that I’ll kick myself later for. These are not in any specific order.
—————————
50 First Dates
Adam Sandler & Drew Berrymore
Henry Roth is a man afraid of commitment up until he meets the beautiful Lucy. They hit it off and Henry think he’s finally found the girl of his dreams, until he discovers she has short-term memory loss and forgets him the very next day.
I ♥ this movie! It’s silly and sweet. I’m not the biggest Drew fan, but I loved her in this.

Dirty Dancing
Patrick Swayze & Jennifer Grey
In the summer of 1963, innocent 17-year-old Baby vacations with her parents at a Catskill’s resort. One evening, she is drawn to the staff quarters by stirring music. There she meets Johnny, the hotel dance instructor, who is as experienced as Baby is naive. Baby soon becomes Johnny’s pupil in dance and love.
I grew up watching this movie! Which probably helped influence my love for bad boys. Not to mention all of the great music. ♥

Grease
John Travolta & Olivia Newton John
Good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fell in love over the summer. But when they unexpectedly discover they’re now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance?
Again with the bad boys and good music. I was always “Rizzo” in our group. lol

Gone with the Wind
Clark Gable & Vivien Leigh
American classic in which a manipulative woman and a roguish man carry on a turbulent love affair in the American south during the Civil War and Reconstruction.
Oh how I love Scarlett and Rhett!
♥♥♥
——————————————————
There are SO MANY more! Once I started opening tabs of movie after movie, I realized this could turn into an extremely long post. So I’m leaving it with these four. I’ve watched these so many damn times!
What are some of your favorite romantic movies?
I’m horrible, I don’t watch many movies at all so I don’t know. But I do agree with 50 First Dates, for sure!
Great choices. I debated 50 1st Dates versus The Wedding Singer, which is one I chose! Here’s our list: http://www.crossroadreviews.com/2013/02/tell-me-something-tuesday.html
Like you I love so many movies..like Sweet Home Alabama…with the line, “So I can kiss you anytime I want”
WHo hoo! Love to see that Gone with the Wind up there. I adore me some Rhett. OH yes and how could I forget Dirty Dancing. Grease is another good one. Thanks for being a part of TMST!
Love Drew Barrymore! (I think Ever After which is one of my favorite movies) and I love musicals! Have you ever seen While You Were Sleeping or You’ve Got Mail? SO GOOD.
Oh yeah! I love Ever After too. I’ve never been able to get into those other two movies, though.
I have a hard time making lists like this because I always forget too. I think some of my top romances would be Ever After, Brokeback Mountain, and more recently Midnight in Paris…but I know there are a ton I can’t think of right now.
Ever After is my all time fav telling of Cinderella. I love French Kiss with Meg Ryan. I’m bad about sleep movies…has anyone ever heard of/seen Green Card (w/ Andie MacDowell & Gérard Depardieu) or Mrs. Winterbourne (w/ Brendan Fraser & rocki Lake). Neither are 5 star, but both are sweet, romantic movies. Another sleeper I also love is Undercover Blues-action/adventure, romance that is great to watch w/ a guy so there is something for both of you.
