I didn’t purchase any books. I had to buy my son’s $100+ track shoes (!!!), his Letterman Jacket, and a bunch of other stuff instead. So of course, my book buying got put on hold until next week. It’s a good thing I love him.
- The Dead and Buried by Kim Harrington – For review. So I requested this on Netgalley months ago but didn’t get accepted until just this last week. A month after it was published. Oh well. I read it real quick and liked it.
What else is going on
Fiery Hot Reads for Icy Cold Nights – Lots of giveaways.
Wicked Valentine’s Read-a-thon – Join for a little bit or a lot between February 7th to 14th. Fun times!
Take Control of your TBR Pile Read-a-thon – A fun read-a-thon that’s part of the TBR March event. You don’t have to read the entire time. Read as little or as much as you want between March 15th and 18th. I’m going to host a challenge for it.

Those are expensive track shoes, yikes. I hope he really enjoys track. π
I try to start my share post midweek; when I wait until Saturday, I get stressed out.
Enjoy your books!
My share – http://beasbooknook.blogspot.com/2013/02/sunday-book-share-22.html
Yeah, running is his thing.
I really should start my SP earlier, because sometimes Saturdays are extra lazy days. π
I’ve not yet read The Dead and Buried but it looks really good, hope you’ll enjoy reading! I’m participating in the Wicked Valentine’s Read-a-Thon too, good luck π

Dude your lame blog ate my comment. too tired to type it again basically I told you how I scored buying 1.80 shirts on clearance at Target for my 2.5 yr old son…Score…better than $100 track shoes!
Pfft… wait until he’s older.
I’m glad you liked The Dead and Buried. I really enjoyed the author’s debut novel and look forward to trying that one myself. It’s funny how some publishers wait years to approve a request. π
I just can’t stand when they approve one a couple of days before it expires. THAT’S annoying.
I think it’s get more expensive with each child I have. But they are so worth it. π Glad you liked The Dead and Buried. Have a great week.

I only have one. I probably never get to buy books if I had another child. lol
I haven’t read anything by Harrison, but hope you enjoy.
Happy reading,

Funny that the netgalley book was approved after the fact! lol And wowza…those kind of expenses will definitely cramp the book buying budget!
Nice. Your son deserve what you bought him. So glad you liked the book you got approved from on NG.

They sent me Dead and Buried too, but I declined. Too many books to little time, I am glad you enjoyed it though! The Sunday Post
LOL! Sorry Heidi’s comment up there is cracking me up!
I am so taking part in Kimba’s TBR pile challenge for March! I was doing so well and then the past couple of weeks I went crazy requesting books. I suck. π
She’s such a brat. lol
I’m trying to get all of my March review books read in Feb, so I can focus all on tbr books. There are so many I want to read.
The Dead and Buried sounds really good. Enjoy the Read-a-thons. Have a great week!
Oy. I’ve been asked to cut my book spending by a massive amount so I know what that’s like. Priorities and such. Anyway, looking forward to reading your thoughts on this book.
Have a great week. π
Yikes, expensive shoes!
Those really are some expensive shoes…I keep seeing the Dead and the Buried, I may have to add this to my list.

One thing I don’t miss about playing sports is the expensive shoes…I use to play soccer and then one year basketball. Waaaay too much money went into cleats and basketball shoes.
I’m so tired that this comment took like 4 tries to write typo free…lol
Seriously! I definitely appreciate now how much I cost as a kid/teenager. Horses, softball, and volleyball… I was not cheap. I’m glad the most expensive sports stuff I have to buy my son are CC and track shoes every season.
