Sunday Post #22 (1/27/13)

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Only one more week left in January! I’m so sick of this yucky weather. But it did make me a little happier the other day when I realized it was still light outside at 5:30pm, instead of darkness by 4:45. It’s the little things, right?

On the Blog

  • Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion – Review. Definitely worth the read before watching the movie.
  • Insight by Jolene Perry – Review. This is the 1st book in a series I’m totally loving! β™₯
  • Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook – Review & giveaway. This was a beautifully sad story.

These are all purchases this week. The bottom 3 were part of Amazon’s golden box deal of the day, so I got them for under $2!

  • Neverfall (Book #1.5) by Brodi Ashton – Seriously, read this novella before reading Everbound!
  • EverboundΒ (Book #2) by Brodi Ashton – This book took some recovery time after reading it.

  • Absolution (Book #2) by Susannah Sandlin – I have the 1st book, but haven’t read it yet. Kimba says they’re great, so I went ahead and got this too.
  • Charming the Shrew by Laurin Wittig – This sounds really good, but the guy on the cover looks like a giant Neanderthal.

  1. I’m glad you reminded me of the readathon coming up! I really need to write it down before I forget again. I still need to read Everneath…I feel like I’m so behind when it comes to reading stuff, lol. I’m sick of the weather as well, it can’t decide if it wants to be warm, rainy or freezing outside and it’s certainly not helping the flu season. Bleck…Anyway, enjoy your week and your books Christy!

  2. Kimba’s right, the Peyton Legacy is awesome! I just read the last one Omega (an ARC) and it was awesome. I love all of the books in the series but they really do just keep getting better and better.

So go READ it, NOW. πŸ˜›

And I agree, I love that it is starting to stay lighter longer, it almost makes the cold worth it, almost. This has been one cold harsh winter here. I am so ready for spring!

  3. Charming the Shrew looks good and I see it is on sale. I am so tempted, but promised myself that until I read some of the books that are on my reader, I will not buy another. I have this thing for wanting to buy every good book that goes on sale. Am I really saving money though when I have so many but haven’t read them? I need professional help. Yikes.
I am excited for Fiery Hot Reads!
