It’s that time of year! I’m going to share my Top 10 books read in 2012.
I’m not putting these in any particular order, because it was hard enough narrowing the list down to 10.
The titles link to my reviews on Goodreads.
———————————————————-

- Every Day by David Levithan -I LOVE this book so much! I even bought it for a couple of people and they loved it too.
- The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle – This was all kinds of creepy goodness! I seriously wasn’t expecting how great this book would be.
- Hounded by Kevin Hearne – This series rocks! This was actually published in 2011, but I’ve read the first 4 books in the series since March 2012. And Atticus is swwooooon!

- Partials by Dan Wells – Sooooo good! I love Dan Wells.
- The Uninvited by Liz Jensen – I’m so glad I got this one in before the end of the year, because wow, it was great!
- Cinder by Marissa Meyer – I almost didn’t read this one, but thankfully my love for Cinderella prevailed. This was a wonderful book.

- Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers – Another one I almost didn’t read, but ended up loving!
- Everneath by Brodi Ashton – This turned me into a blubbering mess. ♥
- Rage Within by Jeyn Roberts – This is the 2nd book in the Dark Inside series, and is one of my all time favorites!
- The Twelve by Justin Cronin – Book 2 in The Passage trilogy, and it was so worth the 2 year wait!

Other books that deserve a mention
Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
This Is Not A Test by Courtney Summers
Royal Street by Suzanne Johnson
Flesh & Bone by Jonathan Maberry
The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
————————————————————
Believe me, I could add more.
Are any of these on you Top 10?
Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid Chronicles were some of my favorite books on 2012. I hope you enjoy the series as much as I do.
Cinder almost made my top ten. I really liked that book!
What no Darynda Jones or Maberry in there?
Maberry got a mention, but he’d be in the top 15 this year. I love Darynda, but but I loved these more. I’m so curious to see yours!
I did top 10 adult and top 10 YA. 4 books made my lists and Uninvited publishes in 2013..so that may make next years list..since i only included those published in 2012..lol
I was going to do the whole week of Top 10 and have different categories, but changed my mind. Just kept it simple with the books I read in 2012. I can’t wait to see yours.
Mine are posting later this week – The Hallowed Ones made it! Pushing the Limits and Royal Street would be in my Top 20, definitely. I’m sure if I’d have gotten to them, Every Day, Hounded and either of Cronin’s books would be there too but I was too far behind. 🙂
Great, great list!!
The Hallowed Ones was such a surprise. I loved it!You DEFINITELY need to read Hounded… you will love Atticus. Can’t wait to see your list.
Merry Christmas!
i loved everneath . huggs
I’m glad you loved it, roro. It was such a good book. *hugs*
i like it..
Some of these I need to read still! I won’tbe online much this week but I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
Yes, you do! Merry Christmas, hon!
Ooh I loved Grave Mercy, Cinder (read it last year) and The Immortal Rules! Fantastic picks! I haven’t read the others but I’ve heard some awesome stuff about all of them.
Thanks, Michelle. You definitely need to read the others! 🙂
So many good ones! Cinder I read last year, otherwise it would be on my list. Hounded too and while I love the series, the first two are my most favorite. Grave Mercy was amazing! The Immortal Rules- mind blowing! Yep, so many good sequels coming soon!
Great list! I loved Cinder, Grave Mercy and Hounded.
Happy Holidays!
My Top 10 Books I’ve Read in 2012
I love your list!! Much better than mine – I think I may have to revisit my rating system. Or maybe it’s just the books I read this year – oh I have no idea!! I read a lot of the same ones as you but I had a lot of 5 star ratings.
And the reason why Atticus wasn’t on my list is because he was a re-read for me so he didn’t show up on my stats, I read the series initially LAST year. So I didn’t even have it come up on my radar (oops!). That’s what I get for relying on Goodreads 😀
Merry Christmas!!
Every Day is fantastic! I still need to read Everneath but it definitely makes my top covers. Also dying to read The Hallowed Ones, Cinder, and Partials!
Great choices — totally agree with Every Day, Cinder, Everneath, Grave Mercy and the Hallowed Ones. I haven’t read all the others!
A great selection: I haven’t read all of these, but quite a few are on my TBR list! 🙂

LOVE Grave Mercy and Cinder!! The Hallowed Ones is definitely high on my TBR list — it sound crazy and awesome.
Crazy me. I have yet to read Dan Wells or David Levithan. Must do!
Great list, Christy. I’ve downloaded Hounded the other day so I’m looking forward to that. I almost picked up a couple of Justin Cronin’s books on my bookstore jaunt yesterday! Now I feel bad that I didn’t. Oh well.
I hope you had a great holiday season, Christy. xoxo
