Sunday Post #16 (12/9/12)

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Good news!  I’m finished Christmas shopping!

More good news!  I surpassed my 2012 reading goal of 75 books.

Doesn’t that make you guys happy?!

Also, there was kind of a lot on the blog last week.  Well, more than I’ve been doing lately. And as you can see by looking at the left sidebar, there’s a whole lotta giveaways going on right now.

On the Blog

  • Betwixt by Melissa Pearl – Review & giveaway!  This was a pretty good book, and you can win a signed copy or 1 of 10 eBooks.
  • Undeadly by Michele Vail – Review.  I actually enjoyed this one quite a bit!
  • Glimmers by Barbara Brooks – Guest post, excerpt & giveaway.  Win a paperback copy & a beautiful treasure box (open Int).
  • SANCTUM by Sarah Fine – A fun event that gives you a glimpse in Malachi’s private journal. You can win 1 of 10 prize packs that include a signed book (open Int).

Covers link to Goodreads & book titles to Amazon

I have been cutting way back on review book, because I know there are going to be A LOT of new releases in January & February that I want to read.  So I am using extreme self control… except when I read great reviews that force me to buy new books.  That’s not my fault.

  • Rising by Stephanie Judice – Downloaded for $2.99 because of Kindlemom’s review.

How was your week?  Get any good books?

  1. I’ve cut way back on buying and requesting for months now and I’m still no where near caught up! LOL Especially when so many more book I want to read come out every month! Christmas Kisses looks cute and I’m pretty sure that is Lucas and Jacqueline from Easy on the cover! LOL Enjoy!

Ha! I think you’re right. I just went back and forth between Easy and Christmas Kiss, and they do look awfully similar. lol

  2. Christmas Kisses and Rising both look really good, love the covers on them.Yay for surprising your goal! I rarely ever change mine from 100 even though I nearly always pass it, lol. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week Christy!

  3. Hya Christy!

Thanks for the tipsy comment yesterday! Lol. Anyway, I was pretty busy last week; so much so that I missed a tour stop that I’d forgotten I signed up for! I know right? Shame. Note to self: add a calendar to your xmas wish list.

I hope you’ll have a great week and enjoy your downloads! xoxo

  4. You have finished your Christmas shopping?! So jealous. I am usually done way before now, but I am learning to slow down and really don’t enjoy shopping like I used to. Most of my gifts are coming from some dot com or another. I am going to check out the eBook deals that you mentioned, so thanks, and I have to get signed up for Fire and Ice.

  5. Denial Denial… sounds like you might have a book hoarding problem. How did I miss the first day of Deck the Halls ? I also missed the big giveaways for it on Facebook. I can’t get my act together. We just have a lot going on. THat is quite the steamy cover for the HM Ward book. I surpassed my reading goal a week or two ago and I don’t where I am now I need to check somewhere around 160 I think….

  6. Congrats on meeting your reading goal!! YAY!!!!! I aimed a bit too high but it was my first year ever setting a goal so I did pretty good! There’s still time to work on it and I think I may be missing some books.

Oh my gosh, Jan and Feb are going to be crazy busy with new books! I really want to get my TBR worked on, though, so I’m TRYING to not take review copies, either. It’s not going so well b/c I want to stay up on all the new reads, too. I like doing early reviews!

Btw – you suck that you’re done with the Christmas shopping (grrrrrr). I’m going to drive down to Detroit suburbs and see if I can knock some of my out tomorrow – we’ll see if the weather cooperates!!

    Have a great week!!!
