Ugh.. it’s been cold and rainy, but it cleared up Saturday morning just long enough for my son to run a 5k. Thank goodness, because I didn’t want to get all wet while cheering him on.
I am getting excited about all the Christmas movies this month, though. It’s a Wonderful Life is on in a few minutes; it’s my favorite Christmas time movie. Then my 2nd favorite is A Christmas Story. Do you have any favorites?

Lullaby by Amanda Hocking – Purchased this. It’s the 2nd book in the Watersong series and I’m dying to find some time to read it.
I won a $25 B&N gift card from Jessica Scott!
It will be used to buy some books for my friend’s new classroom.
Check out Jessica’s book Until There Was You.

o.o jelly of the B&N gift card, hoping I get some for Christmas..awesome haul and so glad you got Taken. I prep my Sunday Post on Sundays for the following week and add books to the haul as they come in. I do not add Saturday arrivals so I start with those..LOL
My favorite Christmas movie is Rudolph! If I don’t watch it at least once before the 25th then it’s not Christmas. I usually watch It’s A Wonderful Life as well. Congrats on the gift card win! I hope you enjoy Lullaby and I hope you have a great week Christy.
I LOVE It’s A Wonderful Life, too but my hubs doesn’t like it so I always watch it on the sly. I saw that it was on last night – I can’t believe how early in the season it was!!!! I’m hoping they play it again 😀 With all the cable channels out there, someone has GOT to be playing it again!
I have not read Hocking yet – I still have her first series sitting on my shelf (I bought the hardcopies when they came out in paperback) . Some day I’ll get to them.
Like Hale Maree… thanks for reminding me that I want to go buy that!
Thanks for always visiting me, even when I suck getting around to visit you!!
OH – I forgot to say I love your new Sunday Post graphic – all your graphics are great (I’m talking your tour buttons) 😀
I agree with you Kristin. The graphics are great. I will grab the button too when I am ready to make my flip box.
Of course I visit you! Your posts are always entertaining. 😀
Got Lullaby on my haul this week as well. Enjoy your week, Christy! <3
I love all the Christmas movies too. I like nearly all of the ‘A Christmas Carol’ and White Christmas, but I am willing to watch even the cheesiest of new ‘made for television’ movies.
Congrats on the B&N card. It is wonderful of you to purchase books for your friends classroom.
Our tradition is to watch The Christmas Story as many times as we can before Christmas day… 🙂 Lullaby is really good. Hope you enjoy it. Yay, for the B&N gift card too..

I am so glad it didn’t rain for your son’s run!
It has been rainy here all weekend too!
But at least with the rain it did warm up so that was a bonus.
Congrats on the gift card win!!
I need to start watching more Christmas specials…need to see what is on ABC family and Hallmark this month and plan out my schedule! Congrats on the gift card win!

my favorite Christmas movie is Christmas Vacation! Yep, I watch it every year. What can I say? The dysfunctional family comedy calls to me, LOL. Congrats to your son for the 5k, running a race is on my to-do list (at some point in the future), so cheers and have a great week, Book Savvy Babe
Love it that you are using your gift card to stock a friend’s classroom! That is so awesome! Enjoy your reading!

I am glad you didn’t get all wet. What you have a heart and like It’s a Wonderful Life? I thought you would relate better to the Grinch.
Haha.. oh believe me, the Grinch is my homeboy, but even he gets that weird warm feeling in his chest. lol
I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of Lullaby! I haven’t started that series yet but I have the first copy and like Hocking’s style in general. Hope you enjoy it!
Ooooo! Nice haul! Love the B&N gift card! Enjoy and have a fabulous Sunday 😀
Lullaby has a great cover! I need to read that series. I went on an Amanda Hocking kick a back around September.
Check out my IMM & SP.

Oh congrats on winning the gift card! It’s wonderful that you are using it to help your friend’s classroom; I’m sure she will be grateful.
Funnily enough we always go to the movies for Christmas but do not watch many Christmas movies in December. Of course I’ll watch fun stuff like How the Grinch Stole Christmas but I have a few unholiday ones that I love and watch every year… Harry Potter Marathon! Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Sound of Music and my all time favorite My Fair Lady!
Grats on that gift card!
It’s A Wonderful Life is my favorite Christmas movie too. Hope you have a great week!
Thanks, Yvonne, you too! My son said they should make the movie into color, and I told him I should ground him for suggesting such a think. lol
