Sunday Post #2 (8/19/12)

The Sunday Post hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Yay, I’m doing this 2 weeks in a row!  😀  School started here and it was less stressful as usual, thank goodness.

And I’m in total loser mode in the reading department this month.  So far I’ve read a novella and 1/2 of a book.  I just haven’t felt like reading much.. I even sat out the Bout of Books Read-a-thon!

There was a lot of stuff on the blog this week though:

Cover reveal of Iridescent by Carol Oates.  It’s beeeeeeautiful!

— My review & giveaway for Every Day by David Levithan.  Such an amazing book.

— My Waiting on Wednesday pick was Rage Within by Jeyn Roberts.

—  My answers for Week 3 of the First Grave on the Right Read-along.  I’m loving this book!

Cover reveal of Wings of Tavea by Devri Walls.  Duuude, it’s gorgeous.

— My Mini Review for Dead & Gone by Jonathan Maberry.  This is a novella for the Benny Imura series (Rot & Ruin).

Books I got:

The book covers will take you to Goodreads.

That’s about all.  How was your week?

  1. Wow, you liked Everyday?! I will have to go run and check it out!! Okay, your review rocked – I multi-tasked 😉 AND I ran and jumped on the Goodreads giveaway, too.

And school is supposed to be a relief, right? As in, no more trying to come up with entertainment 🙂 YAY!! Yeah, right… talk to me the week after Labor day…

I don’t know about you, but the heat has really affected my reading. 😉 I just can’t urge myself to sit down with a book these days. It’s strange! I hope you feel in the mood to read Covet. I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of that. 🙂

You know what, I think that is a huge part of it. It’s been in the 100’s here and it makes me not want to do ANYTHING, not even read.. Blah.

I was so-so with the 1st book, so I almost didn’t request the Covet. We’ll see how the 2nd books goes.

  3. Voices in my head do too count as company. Funny you mention voices in the head, I am reading a book that has a boy that has a voice in his head. I know you can’t live without my comments! I see you got a Rhiannon book as well. Also happy to hear that you are loving First Grave! I know I feel like a loser too I have hardly read anything, I am so far behind!
