That’s right, I moved to WordPress. I am now self-hosting, and so far so good. As you can see, the blog has a new look to go with the change. The kit used is called Black Ice, just like my heart – haha. I still need to do a few things, but the meat and potatoes of it is completed. I’m also still adjusting to everything, so bear with me.
Thanks to Vicky from Sweet Dreams Designs for the look, and Rebecca for all the technical stuff. You ladies rock!!
Also, since I’m not on Blogger anymore, I obviously lost GFC. So if you wouldn’t mind, could you now follow using the RSS feed or e-mail? I love you all… well, 99.9% of you 😛
Oh, and there’s a new blog button you can grab!
That’s all.
Congratulations on the move! I love the new look!!! I already follow you by email and Networked blogs. That will keep in the 99.9%, right? ;D Going to grab the new button (love it)!
Thank you, Cheles. You are definitely in the 99.9%!
Honestly, it’s really only spammers who are that 0.01% 🙂
It looks lovely! 😀
Thank you so much, Nicola! 🙂
I’m loving the new look. And congrats on a successful move! 🙂
Thanks, Amanda! I know I wouldn’t have moved if I didn’t have someone to do all the dirty work for me.
Wow! I love it, simple classy and elegant. Love the black and white. Now I won’t be complaining about your blog eating my comments all the time. I will make a note to change out your button on my blog! Congrats!
Aw, thanks, Heidi! Haha – I know, no more comments disappearing…. at least I hope not!
Very nice! I like the color scheme!
Thanks, Liz! Is your icon picture from your blog? I have to go check, because that looks cool.
Yep! I just switched my theme up a bit, and that’s my new candy lovin’ zombie! 🙂
I have been on wordpress for awhile and I really like it. All except you can’t do rafflecopter. But glad you joined us with WP and it looks great! Looking forward to connecting more.
OK, well you did use rafflecopter. I don’t know how, it always tells me I can’t use it with WP?
Yeah, they transferred over from blogger nicely too – I was a little worried. I always use the “Anywhere” option when selecting a rafflecopter widget code. Also, I always have to put my post editor thingy in HTML mode when I paste the code in, otherwise it wont work. And it won’t show up in editor, but if you preview, you should see it. I hope you can get it to work.
Since it’s javascript it sadly doesn’t work on wordpress.com, but this is wordpress.org, the self-hosted version, which is why she can use it!
I’m so happy the move went well and you’re liking it so far! I definitely hope it’ll continue and you’ll get the hang of it all:)
Also–Vicky definitely does awesome designs!
Yay for not too many problems! Love the new design. Have fun with wordpress!
Thanks, Nina! It takes a little adjusting to, but it’s pretty cool so far.
Congratulations! I just moved and changed the look of my site on May 6.
Congrats on the move! I know I was SO happy when I moved to WP and it didn’t take long to adjust to everything. Love the new look, it’s fantastic! Bex really is great with helping people move, isn’t she?! She helped me TONS – and still does 😀
So happy for you!
Hopefully your transition was a lot smoother than mine was. I’m still dealing with that nightmare. LOL
Love your black heart. *giggles*
Rebecca actually moved my blog for me, and it went smoothly… as far as I know. The only thing that messed up was the formatting of most of my posts, but it’s nothing too bad.
