One of my goals for 2012 was to move to WordPress, and now I’m finally going to do it! I was so nervous, but I’m calming down a little more since Bex from Kindle Fever is holding my hand through it. Literally, I go from freaking out to not caring within a short period of time when it comes to stuff like this. Right now I’m in the middle, so I know I need to do it now, or it won’t happen.
Not only am I moving, but Vicky from Books, Biscuits, & Tea is going to make my new place look pretty. She has a design site now called Sweet Dreams Design. I know I’m not easy to work with, so please keep her in your thoughts. Hopefully all of us will come out of it with our sanity still intact (well, what’s left of mine anyway).
I’m not sure exactly when the move will happen, but it could be at any time – today, tomorrow, next week. I would love for you all to continue following me, but I don’t know what the deal with GFC is. Honestly, I don’t know how this will change the other ways of following either. Oh well, we’ll see.
Keep your fingers crossed!
i fill folow till the end of time lol
good luck

Yay, I hope you'll like your new home Christy 🙂 x
Hehe, you're up next, then. 🙂 I was just waiting for you to make up your mind about the design. x
I am too chicken to do anything like that soon. Plus I would have no idea how to go about it. Fingers crossed it all goes okay for you! 🙂
*high five* blogging buddy! 😀
Yeah, she did a great job on yours! Actually, she's done a great job on all of the ones I've seen. I totally trust her.
Sam! I was totally chicken too, but Rebecca is great about helping. Vicky and Rebecca work together to make the move and design if you want one. *creepy voice* join us…
I'm sure I will 🙂
Yay! Now we have to convince Sam to move too.
I just made the move (back) to WordPress! I was extremely hesitant, but it's been a smooth transition:) I hope the same goes for you!

Don't worry, Hon! WordPress is clean and you'll merge and learn in NO time. Scary to move, but change is great now and then. No need for luck. You'll be more than fine! This IS exciting. Remember to have fun in the process! And congrats, too.
Vicky and Bex moved me over to WordPress last weekend and I love it! They are awesome to work with and made my blog look amazing! 🙂

I will follow you! I've been so on the fence, both platforms have pros and cons! I can't wait to see your new site though!
I so hope you'll like your new blog when it's all ready and official! 🙂 And I'm sure we'll all come out with our sanity intact! *nods*
Cool! Yeah, I think it'll be okay.
Thanks!
Yeah, I saw yours! They did a great job on it.
Yay! 🙂
Just jump on the the self-hosting side of the fence. We have cool stuff. lol
Congrats! I hope wordpress will work out for you! The big move is scary, but I've dome some stuff in self-hosted WP and it's a charm.
I have a bottle of wine on hand for the actual transition. lol
Thanks, Ron! <3
YEAH for moving!! I moved last year and I loved it!! I'm so happy I decided to move and although it was scary everything worked smoothly and the only thing that made me sad was the GFC subscribers. Can't wait to see your nee home and design!! :))
I moved from blogspot. It has it's good and bad points. I had more freedom with blogspot to move and add things of my choosing. With the coding for wordpress I can't do that any more. That is the only thing I hate.

Good luck in the mive. The GFC unplug happening jas affected a lot of blogs so this is a good time to do it while eveyone is rebuilding but you will be fine. Instsll linky and gear our giveawyas toward FB, twitter and email. I know Vicky will do a great job on your design and I am sure you are in good hands. Good luck with everything 🙂
love your blog please follow me back at the blooming readers.blogspot.com check me out?
I switched over to a self-hosted wordpress recently, too! With a self-hosted wordpress, you get a lot more freedom with the actual blog settings (comments, search engines, spam filters, posting, etc), but you don't get as much freedom with widgets and sidebar stuff >.< Misa
