This is my first time participating in Tell Me Something Tuesday hosted by Cambria Hebert. It’s pretty much what it sounds like. There is a weekly question, and we answer it. If you would like to participate, link your post over on Cambria’s blog.
This week’s question is:
Who is your favorite sidekick in a book? (You know the BFF of the main character)
There are a couple of sidekick I love…
1. Jenks from Kim Harrison’s series – The Hollows
Jenks is a four inch pixy, but don’t let his small size fool you, because he is a force to be reckoned with. He can get into places others can’t, he’s fast as a vampire, and extremely protective over those he cares about. Jenks is also one of the funniest characters around. He’s crude, inappropriate at times, and is a complete smart-ass… but he’ll always give it to you straight. I would definitely want Jenks by my side!
2. Riley from Amanda Hocking’s series – The Hollows
(Yes, both are called The Hollows)
Riley is a lioness. That’s right, a member of the big cat family. She doesn’t have magical powers, she doesn’t talk, she doesn’t do anything supernatural. What does she do? She can take down a herd of zombies faster than you can say “holy Siegfried and Roy!” Ever since Remy rescued her, Riley has been a loyal, but distant sidekick. When the zombie apocalypse comes, I want a lioness by my side.
Those are my top two favorites. A pixy and a lioness 🙂
