Monthly Wrap-up: January 2012

Posted January 31, 2012 | 14 Comments

Ah, the first month of the new year is gone, and it’s one month closer to the end of the world.  Must read faster!  Considering how sick I was for the first part of January, I got a good amount of reading and reviews finished.
A month ago I was gung-ho about all of these challenges, but not so much anymore.  I probably won’t be on top of them like I should, but I’ll try.
Also, I’m so happy Google added the reply feature to comments.  I still don’t know if the people you reply to on your blog get notices though. Do you even know if someone replied to your comment if you’re not subscribed?  Someone tell me! 🙂
If you missed it, Missie @ The Unread Reader allowed me on her blog for her When I’m Not Reading feature.   There are cute animal pictures included.  Yes, my tarantula is cute!
Check out the giveaways currently going on.

Yes, Glitches, Tomorrow is Today, and 8 are very short books, so I wouldn’t count them too much.  Were they good?  Very.  Just short.

Oh!  And on February 3rd, the Wicked Winter Read-a-thon will start.  So go sign-up and join all the shenanigans.
Lastly, there will be a read-along for Hounded by Kevin Hearne in March.  Announcement post and the first batch of questions will be posted on February 17th at Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog, so keep an eye out.  The read-alongs are a lot of fun.  In fact, I won the grand prize for the Tempting Tuesday Read-along that was a blast!
How was your January?  Do you have any fun events coming up?

It's crazy how fast January has gone! Glad you had a good blogging month, Christy. I always reply to comments on my reviews but I have no idea if people get notified about them or not! I have only gotten 3 or 4 email notifying me of replies…so I don't know. If you ever find out, let me know! 😀

  2. Woo! Congrats on winning the grand prize!

I have never gotten an email about a reply on Blogger even though I know people have replied to my comment. I haven't subscribed by email though, but I assume that will notify you of all comments, not just direct replies.

  3. AAAAH! I just want to huggle your face and never let go! True story.

Yes, your tarantula is fabulous, though I still think you are kind of crazy for having one as a pet! And I'm so happy you reviewed Destiny's Fire because now I really want to read it. 😉

P.S. Thanks for the plug. I'm beaming here!

  4. Aw, huggle buddy! lol

I know, she looks scary, but she really is sweet and beautiful. I've had her for over… 8 years, I think. So she's my baby.

Oh, thank YOU for having me on!

  5. You did good girl 🙂 I read 9 netGalley books, did 25 reviews and 2 interviews..i can't wait for the Wicked Winter read-a-thon ..see ya then!

  6. January has been kind of insane for me. I feel so behind on the blogging front! Oh well, I'm spending a bit of time today getting caught up on comments at least, so I feel better about that.
