December 2011 Wrap-up

Posted December 31, 2011 | 8 Comments

I survived!  Barely.  Made it through Christmas without completely losing my mind.  As for the reading and reviews department, that didn’t go so well this month.  At least it didn’t until after Christmas.  I know January is going to be a very good month.  I hope everyone has a great New Years!

Here’s what did happen this month…

Books Read  (Links go to Goodreads)

With Good Behavior by Jennifer Lane

Tempest by Julie Cross

Tomorrow is Today by Julie Cross

The Demon Lover by Juliet Dark

Unraveling Isobel by Eileen Cook

Switched (again) by Amanda Hocking

Books Reviewed (Links go my reviews)

Sweet Dreams by Aaron Patterson

With Good Behavior by Jennifer Lane

Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Unraveling Isobel – favorite book read.  I enjoyed this book a lot.  Funny, cute, and creepy… perfect.

Every Other Day – favorite book reviewed.  Even though it bugged me a little, it was still a fun book.

Fun Stuff

2011 Top 10: Favorite Book Covers

2011 Top 10: Book Boyfriends

NetGalley Month – January

This was the 1st year I kept track of how many books I read, and was surprised that I read 73.  I honestly didn’t know I read that much, and thought it would be a struggle to get to 40.  I don’t know how the people that read more than that, especially in the 100’s, do it.  Weirdos.  I’m kidding!  You guys seriously rock.

Anyway…. 2012… here I come!  Have a great New Years, everyone!

What a good idea to summarize a whole month… Frankly I'm lucky to be able to do an IMM on Sundays. Your organization here rawks.

So what did you think of Demon Lover? I've heard mixed reviews about it. I have a copy from NetGalley that I just got (this month I think) but I haven't gotten to it yet.

Happy New Year Christy, if I don't talk to you before then (tonight, wow!)!

  2. Ohh, I actually read around 73 books and 15 novellas, so that's pretty much the same! Failed the 100 books though I joined. Haha. But I did guess 75 in the beginning of the year, so I'm quite proud about that still!

Hope you have a very happy New Year! :DD

  3. 79 is seriously amazing. I didn't keep track of how many I've read this year because I only started blogging at the end of September 2011, so I'm really excited about starting afresh and keeping track of everything from now on. 🙂 I think you did a great job, I don't think I've read as many books as you did so I've no clue how other people manage to read more than 100 😮

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR! 😀 xxx

  4. Wow, congratulations! I wish I were organized enough to track everything I was reading and reviewing every month, but I think it might just depress me to actually acknowledge how behind I was.;)

    Happy 2012!

  5. It wasn't such a bad month at all! Still, I hope your literary January will rock 😉

This was the first year I counted the books I read, too. Well, actually, I started counting in May, right before I started up the blog… We'll see how it works this year!
