SundayPost

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

It was somewhat of an odd week here, and it all started with me getting a spontaneous black eye on Monday. I was just sitting there talking to someone when I suddenly felt a pain as if being hit under my right eye, then it grew purple and really sore. It was weird and lasted a few days. Everyone keeps saying it was a ghost. lol.

I can’t believe we’re already into October. The days are flying by. I did pretty well on the reading front and read 14 books in September, so yay for that.

FYI – Trish @ Between My Lines posted about tips for writing reviews and has a free download that helps with that.

Oh, and today is my birthday.

  2. How weird re the black eye?! Did you have to go to the doctor or anything in case it was a blood vessel? I had a bruised eyeball thingy once when I’d been sick and had some strain from vomiting. That was weird as well.

Oh well, I hope you’ve made the most of it and made up all sorts of wonderful scenarios!

  4. Happy birthday. The black eye is alarming to me because it occurred without trauma. It sounds like you had a subcutaneous hemorrhage under your eye. Better there than your brain. Googling it makes me pretty sure you should at least ask your doctor about it. ourhealth.com/conditions/i-cannot-get-a-diagnosis/black-eyes-with-no-cause
And another site says you should see a doctor if the black eye occurs without trauma causing it. Still another: The causes are many, from trauma, thin blood (aspirin, ibuprofen, coumadin, …) to other systemic causes such as liver dysfunction and lymphomas. At age 27, it is very unusual and you should see an internist with a good systemic work-up. 5. A spontaneous black eye, oh my goodness! I can’t even fathom how that would happen medically, there’s nothing that could be the cause of that could there? Were you hit in the head at all, even days ago? That’s kind of creepy Christy, the pain then it bruising so quickly. That must be one super cranky spirit.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTY! Hope you’ve had an fabulous day filled with presents, cake and surrounded by family and friends who’ve spoilt you rotten. And no angry unwanted visitors punching you in the face <3

  6. WHAT?! YOU SUDDENLY GOT A BLACK EYE, AND NO ONE PHYSICALLY ATTACKED YOU?! That’s so creepy and so odd and so bizarre and so interesting O.O I believe in ghosts, mind, so the ghost-theory may not be too far-off… I’ve encountered some pretty weird shit myself!

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Now surround yourself with love, family, friends, and books πŸ˜‰

Eek! That spontaneous black eye sounds really scary! I wonder how that happened, the explanation of it being a ghost actually makes sense, lol.

I lvoe Trish her blog and thought her review riting tips were great! I didn’t download the pdf as I already have a good technique for writing my reviews.

I hope you have an awesome birthday and get lots of cake and presents! I hope you have a great week!
