The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
I wasn’t going to do a Sunday Post this week, but I figured I’d check in. I’ve been on bit of a hiatus from blogging. Partly because of limited time, and partly because I need it. Reading hasn’t been going all that well either. I’ve set aside four ARCs so far because I can’t get into them. I had to fall back on a beloved series to help me out of the funk. Thank goodness for Kate Daniels! So obviously I’m tanking on the Clean Sweep Challenge. *sigh*
On the Blog
- Seveneves by Neal Stephenson (Review) – I loved the epic sci-fi.
Books Read
Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry
With Visions of Red by Trisha Wolfe
Magic Breaks by Kate Daniels β Haha! You know what I mean.
Books Acquired
Purchased:
I’m finally getting around to The Martin.
Have a great week!
Sometimes you need the break. At least you had a fave series to help with your funk. <3
I'm actually doing better than I expected with Clean Sweep but I read when I'm stress and May has been nothing but stress. Ah well.
Happy reading, whatever it may be!

Coming out of a break myself, I understand your need for it – and the lack of time π And yes, you’re reading The Martian, I hope you’ll luuuuurve it ! I checked Neal Stephenson at my library, they seem to have 2 of his books but they’re historicals, I guess that author likes to try different genres, which is fine by me. Take care, relax as much as you can and have a great week π

Sorry you’re in a bit of a funk! I was there myself not too long ago. I really enjoyed Nowhere But Here and hope you did too. Sometimes I just have to read something that I know I’m going to love to help me get out of it. And a blogging funk…well that’s been new to me this year also. BUT everyone needs a break from time to time!

I know, I keep going through those funks, I find a good read and then several meh reads. I have heard some good things about the Martian I want to try it on audio. I just started The Big Fix last night, have you read that series by Linda Grimes? I think you would love it. Hugs. Hope you have a great week.

Unless you are getting a paycheck for it, reading and blogging should be about making the blogger’s life better, their reading experience richer and hopefully we can touch the lives and hearts of others.

Sorry you haven’t really been feeling the books lately. I don’t really DNF things, but I’m currently reading something that I think I’m headed that way toward – good thing I have some other titles I’m more into.

Oh streaks like that suck. I’ve been having awful luck with books lately. Not that I couldn’t get into them but they keep doing unforgivable things and grrr. Hope you’re feeling better bookish-wise this week!

A break is definitely needed sometimes. I’m thinking of taking one. I was going to set up my blog’s anniversary stuff, but halfway through the prep I just broke down. So I’m going to step back and just do what I can.
I hope you enjoy The Martian, it was definitely a lot of fun!

sometimes you need to just take a break. Life gets hectic that is for sure. I know that when I am super busy or super stressed, sometimes it is harder for me to get into a book.
