SundayPost

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Guess what. March is here! I’ve been kind of freaking out this past week. We’re dealing with a lot of college stuff, and it’s making it way too real that my son is graduating. I’ve been stressing a little more though, because everything has to be done sooner since my son with have the ‘athlete status’. Instead of having until May to get paper work and classes, it needs to be done this month. I wasn’t expecting that, so there’s been a bit of scrambling.

I read 13 books in February, two were audiobooks. I planned to have all my March review books read so I could plow through my TBR books for the challenge, but that was a fail. At least I made it through half.

  1. I so relate to the college headache! My daughter isn’t an athlete but we do have scholarship stuff and getting everything organized makes me want to tear my hair out! It’ll be so nice when everything is taken care of and tucked away! Have a great week and enjoy your new books!

I think I would’ve been okay if it I were dealing with regular admissions and stuff because I was prepared for those dates, but was thrown for a loop when deadline dates are suddenly days and weeks away instead. Plus, it makes me sad.

  2. Christy- I’m glad you liked When Joss Met Matt. I didn’t love it. For me, I think it was the set up of the book that I disliked. I liked knowing the past, but I think the past dragged on a bit. But, I liked your review!

That’s too bad. The set up was one of my favorite things, because all that past showed there was actual growth at different stages in their lives, and how each stage impacted their bond whether they realized it or not at the time. It was real and authentic. For me, it was refreshing compared to the same ol’ run-of-the-mill set up and romance.

So sorry you’re stressed, I can relate, even if for different reasons 🙁 Every time we’re having to fill all the admission papers for school, I think I’m going to tear my hair off. Keep calm, breathe, relax and enjoy your weekend 😉

Proud and sad. He’s my only child. Yeah, I hope the audio opens the series up to more people. Everyone needs to experience them in SOME form.

  4. I can only imagine how stressful all the college stuff is! I hope you get it all taken care of before you both go crazy. 😉

Excited to start the challenge but I too didn’t quite get all my books read for April but I think I will be okay. I am starting today with Written In Red, the longest book on my list. Wish me luck!

  5. I can\’t even imagine filling out college paperwork for your son. I\’ve not even started the whole motherhood thing yet. So that seems so far in the future. I can imagine it\’s quite emotional though. I\’m totally with you. I was hoping to have all of my ARCs finished before the start of this month so that I could JUST focus on TBR pile for the challenge. BUT of course that didn\’t happen for me either! Have a great week!

  6. Good round up 🙂 I started Sia, but never finished. At this point, I don’t remember why, I just remember being disappointed in the galley. I hope you like it more than I did.
