SundayPost

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Noooo, no, no …. only one more week left in October. This is unacceptable! We’ve started doing college stuff for my son and I’m trying not to freak out. A couple of cross country scouts from nearby colleges came to watch him run and talk to him. He doesn’t even know if he wants to continue running for school after this year, though. So we’ll see. *whispers* I hope he does.

And I just want to say that it getting dark so early sucks!

On the Blog

  • Bird Box by Josh Malerman – Review. You want a creeptastic read, then this is it!
  • Someday Maybe by Ophelia London – Review. A pretty good modern retelling of Jane Austen’s Persuasion.
  • Her Perfect Game by Shannyn Schroeder – Review. A sweet & sexy read with a female gamer/hacker.
  • Thief by Tarryn Fisher – Review. Whee! I love this series so much!

  1. I hate the dark nights too. The clocks have just gone back over here too. that’s good your son has been spotted by a scout, it would be shame if he decides not to continue but as a parent one has to go with their decision when it comes to sport and hobbies. Have a good week. πŸ™‚

  2. I totaly hate this getting early thing and it gets worse when we have to change time in two weeks. It sucks hard core to have it dark before five o clock. Yep, got Bird Box. I just got the sequel for that novella by Meghan Spooner and I loved the first one so I am going to get the novella. No! Your son can’t go away to college

The Hostage Bargain looks interesting. I’m not happy either about how early it’s turning dark. The time change will suck. πŸ™

That’s fantastic about the scouts coming to see your son! That’s a hard choice for him, to continue or to stop. I hope he’ll be happy with his choice.

    Have a good week!

  4. I hope he keeps running too. I think it’s always good for kids to be involved with something especially with a big change up like college. Totally agree that this being the last weekend in October is completely unacceptable! I just got the first Donna Alward in that series so I can’t wait to see what you think of the 2nd one!
