SundayPost

The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Well, it’s starting to cool off to the 80s here. Unfortunately. It’s still dry as hell, and I know we need rain and snow bad, but I’m never ready to let go of the hot weather. The drought continues, and it’s especially harsh here in the San Joaquin Valley. At least 100 more wells dried up in my area within a few days, bringing it to about 700 and getting worse everyday. Not going to lie, it’s a little scary how bad it’s getting. Then we had a lovely (<—- sarcasm) dust storm.

  1. Wow that dust storm was crazy. Your weather is freaky. I sure hope it rains and soon. Nice haul. Not sure I can handle a cryfest although I read some heavy duty erotic fiction this week and said I wow never do that. I ended up really liking it. I blame Anna and Liz

  2. Whoa the dust storm is crazy! Never been in one of those before and think I’m good passing on it. Dang! That’s awful about the wells 🙁 I wish we could share some of the wet weather. We’ve had flash flooding here which is rather scary but better than no rain for so long. Hope it hits yall soon!

No, and I’m kind of afraid to. They’ve already classified this area as reaching apocalyptic levels, so I really don’t want to read it yet. lol -sigh-

Well, I read Big Driver right before watching the movie, and I think the movie was slightly better. Not great, but good.

  3. Damn, that storm looks horrible! Just curious, do you have a yard? How is the grass faring? I would be nervous about that! There goes my produce bill, huh?

Cryfest??? I can’t even bring myself to read John Green. I’ll take your word for that book 🙂

I’ll have to do some work and see if I own those Fitzpatrick books already!! Thanks for the heads up 🙂

No one really has a yard anymore. It’s pretty brown. We’ll have to start doing desert landscaping like Arizona and NM.

Yeah, if you avoid John Green, then doing read Bright Side. I was caught unaware.

  4. eap I don’t know I think I’ll take some rain and damp weather over drought or dust storm any day. Can get pretty expensive when your out of water 🙁

I thought Sweet Damage looked very interesting myself! Hope you enjoy it.

  5. I am also a born and raised Californian…and we definitely have our issues…but we are more than that, right?I want to read Big Driver…and recorded the movie last night. Plan to watch it today.Enjoy your week…(And your blog wouldn’t take my link – TOO MANY URLS?)

I am posting on my Serendipity blog today.

We have our issues, but I love it here. 🙂

That’s weird. You should be able to add at least on link. I’ll have to check the spam settings.

  6. Hope you get some rain soon! Dust storms sound really awful and all the wells drying up would definitely make me uneasy. Sweet Damage looks really good. I don’t think I’ve read any Rebecca James but that name is so familiar. Have a great week!

  7. I’d sure like to know when we’re going to get some kind of weather control technology. Hey, most everything else in the Star Trek Universe is coming true. Where is that and the end of disease, war and poverty? That would be nice. Oh! And replicators and transporters. I’d take replicators first though since I hate to cook. 😀

  8. Yup it was the 90s here forever. Finally in the 80s. I complain but once it gets cold I’ll just start complaining about it being cold. LOL I would love for the weather to always be in the 70s. I’ve been wanting to read Dissonance! Happy reading and thanks for stopping by!

  9. That heat and drought sounds just awful. I was hearing about it on NPR – people’s private wells drying up and they don’t have the money to drill it deeper. And then a dust storm on top? I just hope California gets some rain soon – the good, slow, steady kind.

Meanwhile, I hope you have a great reading week!
