Most of you know that I rarely participate in blog tours except for a few certain authors. Well, Krista and Becca Ritchie are on that short list. Why? Because I have mad love for the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series! Hell, the authors in general. So I’m super excited to have the duo on the blog with an interview. There’s also a kick ass giveaway at the bottom.

I have to say, I don’t go through the different posts on blog tours, but I absolutely do when it comes to these. There’s always a bunch a fun stuff that have to do with the characters I adore so much. So I suggest clicking on the banner and checking out the rest of the stops.

And if you haven’t started this series … just know I’m glaring at you. Hard.

Hi Krista and Becca! I’m so glad to have you ladies on the blog.

So November 20th is release day for Long Way Down! I can’t wait! While we’re all devouring the book, what will you two most likely be doing? Do you usually do anything special on release days?

Krista: We usually like to decompress by watching a movie. I know for Amour Amour’s release we watched Center Stage. So maybe we’ll watch Blue Lagoon in honor of Ryke and Daisy. Usually though, it’s hard to stay off the internet on the release day just because we still want to shout about it. So we’ll probably be on our social medias some too.

Becca: Definitely what Krista said! For the past month or two, we’ve been in overdrive, so we’ll probably just relax and hopefully peek at social media and see everyone’s feels!

I know we would all love to spend time in the Addicted/Calloway world hanging out with the gang, but if you could spend a few days in the world of any other book, movie or TV show, what world tops your list?

Krista: Harry Potter. At the tip top of the iceberg. It’d be my all-time favorite wish. I mean, Hogwarts! Truth be told, I’d take being a Muggle in the world of Harry Potter over not being in the world at all. Just get me closer there. That’s all I need.

Becca: But a Muggle who knows about the Wizarding World! I totally agree with Krista. There are lot of cool universes like Game of Thrones—but I’d never want to step foot in there. I wouldn’t survive for long.

If the three couples were going on a weekend getaway, what other fictional character or couple would you like to see join them? Do you think the group would be okay with your choice?

Krista: I’m going to go off my previous answer and stick with a Harry Potter couple. If Ron and Hermione joined the gang on a getaway there would be so much fangirling from Lily and Lo (super Harry Potter fans) and bickering between Rose, Connor, and Hermione (the genius circle). It would be fun dynamic for sure.

Becca: Can I go with a TV show? Stiles and Derek from Teen Wolf. Lily and Loren would be hanging out with them the ENTIRE time—and Rose would be a little annoyed that they’d shut her out. She likes being in the loop 🙂

You two have written numerous books together now and have the whole co-author thing down, so if you had to collaborate with a third author, who would each of you want it to be?

Krista: That’s so difficult! In a dream world, if this collaboration could work, I’d want to team up with Kiera Cass. I’m obsessed with her writing style. She has this addictive nature to her books and she’s all about the romances, even though her novels are YA dystopians. Plus, she just seems like so much fun! Her YouTube videos are the best.

Becca: Oh, good choice, Krista! I really love Rachel Caine’s writing—she’s very good at writing short and sweet novels to the point but keeping so much character development alive. In this alternate universe, I wonder what a three-way hybrid book between all of us would look like!

And I can’t resist … Becca, tell us something embarrassing Krista has done recently. Krista, tell us something embarrassing Becca did recently. The more embarrassing the better. 😉

Krista: HAHA! I don’t know if I can think of a most recent one, but I know her most embarrassing moment was in middle school. Someone stole her purse and then dumped it out and spread all her tampons in the hallway. She had to pick them up in front of everyone. I wasn’t there or else I would have helped. Middle-schoolers can be mean!

Becca: Like Krista, I can’t think of anything recently. She can be quite a klutz, and when it’s raining outside, she’s taken many, many falls. I’m not sure if it’s so much embarrassing as it is funny—sorry, Krista!

Hahaha … wow, what dicks those kids were!

Okay, before you go, give us a five word summary of Long Way Down.

Krista: Last book in Addicted Series. (hehe, was that cheating?)

Becca: The very, very emotional finale.

I am already preparing myself for the flood of emotions. Thank you so much for stopping by, ladies!

Krista: Thanks so much for having us on your blog!!

Becca: Thank you!!!

With a seven-year age difference, Ryke & Daisy have faced an uphill battle in the eyes of the world and their families. Known as the most adventurous, fast-paced couple — their next step has always been elusive to the rabid media.

Behind the scenes, heartbreaking troubles continue to test Ryke & Daisy’s resilience and shape their future together.

They promise:

To never slow down.
To never compromise who they are.
To never abandon their love for each other.

But preserving their happiness also means adding more risks. Ones that Connor Cobalt wouldn’t even take. As a professional free-solo climber, Ryke is no stranger to risk, but his next step with Daisy wagers more than just his health.

With their lives on the line, Ryke & Daisy head towards the vast, wild unknown in this epic final conclusion to the Addicted series.

  1. So when it popped up in my email that you did an interview, I was totally like “WTF, Christy doesn’t do interviews” and then I saw who it was with, and I was totally like “Ooooooh, now I get it”. You have a huge hard on for these two – but I can see why!!! I’ve bought a few books of theirs, because of you, that I have yet to get to – and now I can see I have more to add to the list. My empty bank account thanks you.

Aside from that, this does seem like an awesome series. While I’m not especially a Harry Potter fan, I totally dig Krista’s and Becca’s enthusiasm over it heheh.

As much as I love GOT I wouldn’t survive there either. Rose and Hermione together would be awesome. And I’m a klutz too. But Becca and the tampons story *blushes* middle school mean girls are so brutal. Thank you for this interview.

I am the same as you, I don’t often participate in blog tours, unless I know the author/ book already. I mostly read the posts by authors I tour as I stop by all the stops to check the blogger have posted. It can be quite fun to visit multiple tour stops especially when you know the author or book and learn more about it. Most authors really put a lot of effort in those posts.

This is a great interview! I also would like to visit the Harry Potter world for a few days. I hadn’t heard of these authors before, might have to check out some of their books and se eif they sound like something I would enjoy.

A great interview thank you. I agree about the world of Harry Potter being safer than the Game of Thrones world.

I look forward to catching up with your work.

Can you believe I haven’t read any of their books, Christy? I will really have to remedy that, and soon! Now that the last in a series is about to be released, it seems like the perfect opportunity 🙂
Great interview, I love the fun question you came up with 🙂

  6. Awesome interview, Christy!! I about fell out of my seat when Becca mentioned Rachel Caine. I have mad love for Rachel’s short stories and writing style, too. And don’t even mention rain around me – I just don’t go outside!

Thanks for the fantastic giveaway, too!!
